Could'nt, would'nt stay here..... what he did was wrong, the way he dealt with it was even worse!!!!visiting the area with some friends, a very helpful young girl working at the cliffs of mohar information center, booked a room for us with Frank around 4 pm, ( no credit card, was asked for or given, no mention of a curfew) Happy to have accom booked we went off touring. We arived at 20.15,( early for us !!) met by the son, left waiting 15 minutes as he went to find Frank!!! Who told us that we were late!!! he had a business to run and couldnt keep the room for us and that he was full!!! Told him re booking and he simply said " first come first served" . Frank was most unhelpful when we tried to explain that there was a commitment to keep a room via the earlier phone call,we were not made aware of a curfew or check in deadline and what he was doing was very wrong and in very poor taste!!! When pressed as to when the last room was booked Frank became flustered, rude, verbally aggresive towards us and ushered us out!!! Basically, he just took in the first people that came regardless of us ringing ahead and booking, yes first come first served-- by Franks rules!!! so if youve made a reservation here, think twice cause your room may be gone before you even get there. so book else where, because he certainly wont care less!!! Unsurprisingly in our last minute search for a b n b around Doolin, anyone we spoke to and belive you me, im telling everyone!!! no one in the area seemed surprised by Franks behaviour, so im very surprised by some of the reviews!!! however the one re the mal function toilet seems realistic!!!( fortunately we got a room at hardour view , a little out of Doolin but was clean, and v well run by Cathy).
So bring your custom else where!!!!
