“Feels like the best meals from "Chopped"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Reading the menu (including The Trio of Apple... dessert) made me feel I was in the middle of the US show "Chopped." But this chef would have won. His starter, a lentil and chestnut "soup," was perfect for the evening of cold and rain. Subtle taste. I wish I had the recipe. Like everything else we ate, it was aesthetically pleasing, delicious, original, and used locally produced ingredients. Serving folks were lovely, and setting, with view over the tiny Aille river, pleasant.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

Lovely restaurant and the food was excellent but pricey. We had the scallops and they were wonderful.

“excellent food in a pleasant setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We had an excellent dinner, both seafood and non, at Cullinan's Seafood Restaurant. The room is nice. Service was a little cold. But definitely worth having a meal here if in Doolin.

“Great food just a little too rich for me”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Dont get me wrong we had a great meal, wonderfully served, with views of Doolin and a wonderful sunset all washed down with some rather wonderful wine. The shortcomings are that there symphony of seafood, which somehow I expected a board with little tasters of the local seafood, was actually a tower of fish and mussels soaked in a very rich cheesy sauce. It was tasty and looked great, but the individual tastes of each seafood was rather drowned in cream. The main was better but again far too rich and overpowering. For these prices I think I expected more modern and was a little disappointed. But if you like rich tasting food you'll love this place, and it has won many awards!
