My stay at coolfield b&b was fabuolous the surroundings very beautiful the house it's self was also beautiful, and what can I say about the breakfast they were delicious you have to try the porridge and the smoked salmon bagel with scrambled eggs to die for and as for the home made cake's wonderful, and Pam & Michael are lovely they make you feel so welcome and the kids are lovely too, and there is such a homely feeling in the house I would recommend to anyone it is FAB!! To have to try it.

A group of us from Incredible Edible Todmorden stayed at Coolefield House in May 2013. We were completely astounded by the quality of our stay and the warmth of our welcome. The House is beautiful and furnished in a way which is appropriate to its style and also comfortable and homely, rooms were large, several had extra beds and so would be good for families, and all en suite bathrooms were gorgeous. Breakfast selection included a generous breakfast bar and a wide selection of cooked breakfasts. The full Irish is particularly recommended. The supplies of wonderful home baked scones, cakes and biscuits accompanying frequent offers of tea and coffee, were continuous. Ingredients were sourced locally where ever possible, indeed the hens responsible for the eggs could be seen outside my bedroom window. The welcome from Michael and Pam could not have been warmer, by the end of our stay it felt like staying with friends.
Local Village for evening meals is 3 km away (taxi charged us 7 euros) a car would be an advantage.

i have never written a trip advisor report before , however after the weekend we have just spent at Coolefield house I have to send a few words of recommendation. My twin 11 year old boys and I were in North Cork for some cycle races. We arrived late Friday night to be greeted with pancakes and hot drinks - even an offer of a pint at the local for those who might be interested. The room was super , spacious , bright and clean . It was only in the morning I realised the house was a new built , it is designed very cleverly with high ceilings and lovely fireplaces. Michael and Pam made a cracking breakfast , porridge , scrampled eggs and smoked salmon and a pcaked lunch ( with scones ) for our Lunch . Very welcoming , lovely family and not for a moment did I feel I was intruding in someone else's house.

If this family run B&B has any faults we didn't find them! The welcome includes afternoon tea, with home baking (out of this world carrot cake), beautiful appointed rooms and peace and quiet. The B&B is a mile or so out of Millstreet, but we had no trouble getting a taxi. Michael and Pam and the kids could not be more friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is just simply superb (you have to try the porridge!). I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough if you are in the Millstreet area.

Room Tip: It is a small B&B and we did not see all the rooms, but if ours is anything to go by I would be...

You won't get a better welcome in Ireland ! Beautiful house, great food and a lovely family. Never been treated better in a guesthouse, they even had soup waiting for us after a long cycle a few hours after we were supposed to checkout! Say no more.
