Avana Passage, its significance & history of the waka leaving for Aotearoa is definitely not well represented!!
Well done to the carver for the CARVING portraying the migration of the waka to Aotearoa.
The circle of stones with each waka named.
Wow.. not much to say but SAD..
Ko te kupu o ngaa Tupuna, kia kaha, kia toa, kia manawanui!
It was so sad to see upon arrival it was unkempt & unattractive.
When you venture further round the corner, you come into the heart of beauty!!
The lagoon & all its splendor that it offers..
The warm, clear waters & its wonderful marine life.
Let's hope there will be a restoration for this significant historical sight!!
