We enjoy Tapas and decided to visit on the Wednesday evening for that reason. The car park is small but we managed to find a space on a rainy evening. The restaurant is also on the small size with a bar area and a few tables downstairs and the kitchen and main dining area upstairs. We enjoyed drinks at the bar while selecting from the menu which allows three tapas dishes for a fixed price of £12.95. We were given the choice of eating upstairs or down. The decor is good and stylish in our view The total bill for three glasses of house wine and a small Peroni beer came to £49.80. The patatas bravas, the prawns and the meat balls were the better dishes. The rice pork , and the calamari less so. The open kitchen is no problem for us as nothing is hidden from customers. The staff all try hard to make this restaurant work. I hope that they succeed.

This could be a real fab little restaurant in a lovely village. Nice bar downstairs, restaurant nicely set out upstairs. Head Bar Man very attentive and welcoming. The Head Chef clearly a perfectionist with how the food looks on the plate and it was good. Here are the negative points: No atmosphere and that bad there was a guy asleep on a table in the bar having drank too much. In the restaurant you can see how everything is cooked and it was really off putting seeing parts of your plate being heated in microwaves all on view to the restaurant. Ping here ping there! Going for a drink in the bar after the meal meant staff friends were in drinking and there was a lot of unprofessional behaviour by them and the staff. Sorry guys but if you want this place to be a real hit some of your staff need to change! They will ruin you long term!

Wednesday night is tapas night £12.95 for 3 choices, although the dishes are quite small, with 6 of us sharing there was enough to go at. Not many other people in there, only one other table occupied. Food is good, but you have to climb stairs to get to restaurant .

We had a quite good meal, but the open kitchen area is immediately next to the dining area, when we arrived the air had a bluish haze which was the impact of some hot oil cooking. We found that several of the wines we wanted were unavailable, they were waiting for their wholesaler to deliver !!! just go and buys some from Booths if necessary, don't just have no Chardonnay available.
They need to work harder to compete against two strong local competitors
