We were staying at the lovely Studfold Farm campsite and only become aware of the Trail at the point we arrived and checked in. The Trail sounded like a nice way to spend the afternoon with two children (two and five) - but it far exceeded our expectations!
The kids had a really lovely time exploring, discovering, touching, smelling and climbing.
The forest glade in particular is a really beautiful, magical place - and the sculptures throughout the trail are really impressive.
Make sure the children each take a little toy/ trinket along for the Secret Swap Box. Genius. My five year old spent at least 15 minutes in the agony of choice in selecting his swap! Very friendly service - who will even drive your picnic up to the picnic area to save you carrying it. Lovely enough to go back again very soon...

Loads of space for running around or just strolling in this beautiful part of Nidderdale. This is a hidden gem with lots of things to see, find, learn about and explore with a super children's play area and large picnic and activity barn. Watch out for the art installations too!
Take: your picnic (which the family will take up to the barn if you wish), your camera, walking shoes or trainers will help, but are not essential (you can take an all terrain buggy around), sun cream and hat, some 'treasure' from home to swap and a story to read in the Giant's Story Chair!

We went here with our two sml children and they loved it. The walk was engaging and just long enough. With a nice reward at the end in the form of a play area, sand, diggers etc and a picnic. Unspoilt location, lots to see, great views, fun with nature.
