First - you can't beat the location. Close(ish) to Paris, around the corner from Senlis (which is nice charming town) and Chantilly (historic town with great chateau! Don't miss Pierefond. Really cool chateau (actually more like hill-top fort). Surprised as did not know it was there - worth the visit.
The hotel was nice and cozy. Hosts were very friendly. And it is at the end of a long road across from an old church so a million miles away.
Nice part is that the hotel is on the side of a valley so you look down over meadows and a small village in the distance below.
The place itself has many terasses/levels with tables as well as a nice pool.
So great stay and great place.
OK - so the downside.
We were there on a spring weekend where it was surprisingly cold and rainy. There is no real indoor common area. the rest of the place, beyond our room, felt like part of their 'house'. So we ended up hanging out in our room killing time (when we were not in the car seeing the sights.)
A bit of a bummer.
So my advice - this is a GREAT place to go to if the weather allows you to be outdoors. Between the great pools, terasses, and the view. But if it is bad/cold weather you kinds feel like you can only be in your room. The rest of the place is 'theirs.' At least that was the feeling.
Definitely a gem for the right season - would go back in a heartbeat.
