The first - and last - time we dine at The Star, unfortunately.
The lady cook was enthusiastic and keen to provide a good meal, but her vegetables were grey.
It started badly, with most of the things that excited our fancies being unavailable after a good Sunday that left we Monday diners with a very reduced choice.
The beer was good, but the barman was as enthusiastic as Lurch in The Addams Family.
Great pity because the village was a pleasure to visit (though don't be deceived into thinking the railway station is near!)
