This was the second time we stayed at hazy tides. It was as good if not better than the last time we came. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. Welcome basket on your arrival, was packed with local produce including treats for the dogs. Which they loved... Would recommend a stay our dogs loved the beach walks.
Enjoyed our stay property was very clean and well equipped. Did not use the bath or shower due to the sealant lifting in certain areas and dirt showing where it had lifted also dirt in the screen seal along the bottom apart from that every thing was fine ( very surprised to see this) a few flowers in the back would look nice . We enjoyed the lovely welcome pack with all the local produce and our small dog enjoyed her treats from the welcome pack
This was our first holiday in this part of Norfolk and we will definitely be coming again. The beaches were predominantly dog friendly as were the pubs and we were always afforded a very warm welcome.
The jewel in the crown was , without doubt, Hazy Tides. We have stayed in many holiday homes but none has ever demonstrated such attention to detail. Elizabeth, the owner, deserves to do very well. She clearly cares about her guests and has gone out of her way to ensure all our needs are met. It's the seemingly small details that matter and which turn an ok holiday home into one that is excellent: the wonderful welcome pack, the piles of good quality towels, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, the dog blankets and the basket of dog toys to name but a few. These indicate a true generosity of spirit. Thank you.
We returned last week from a lovely stay at Hazy Tides. Everything was 5 star. We were given arrival instructions a few days beforehand which were straightforward and really welcomed after our long drive. Once inside we were greeted by a beautiful hamper which had been left for us. It was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The property was immaculate and the view from the garden is idyllic. We took our two little dogs who were completely safe and secure in the garden. The owner had themed the decor in a beach style which is really fitting with the area. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and wasn't crowded even in August! The area is great for couples, dog walkers and families alike. We will definitely be returning next year and making a booking once I can confirm holiday days at work.
Trace, Mum and Cherish the chihuahua would definitely recommend Hazy Tides. Elizabeth keeps the property beautifully clean and very welcoming.
We spent a week at Hazy Tides and really enjoyed the experience. It's a good sized cottage for two or three people, has a very well kitted-out kitchen with everything we needed and more, comfortable beds, a small garden with a view over open fields, bathroom with a good shower and a good sized living room diner.
Booking was straightforward, we had a few questions and found Elizabeth the owner to be really friendly and helpful and very quick to respond. The cottage is located about 15 minutes walk from the seafront in Walcott, where there's a shop with a reasonable selection and a very good fish and chip shop. There are more shops in Stalham about 5 miles away including the excellent Truly Local. There are several nice beaches within a short drive, Happisburgh and Waxham are unspoilt and dog friendly.
On the subject of dogs, this is a very dog friendly cottage. Dogs are allowed on the sofas and throws are provided for this purpose. There's a green area just over the road which is ideal for a short walk and several beaches nearby which allow dogs.
All in all a very pleasant, quiet place to stay, many thanks to Elizabeth for being so helpful, highly recommended.
Great bungalow good position very comfortable dog friendly lovely welcome pack Elizabeth very helpful would recommend this holiday
