“Great B and B for touring Champagne”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

We stayed two nights here in the La bois Rose room with our two daughters. La Loge is located in a quiet tiny village. The countryside was stunning as well as the local champagne houses. Our room was very spacious and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets and high quality duvets. We laid by the pool in the late afternoon. Breakfast was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return.

We have just returned from our third visit at La Loge Vigneronne (two adults and two children, aged 4 and 2) and we know we will be back again. And how could we not, when everything here is designed with calm and charm in mind? We stayed in the family suite (la Bois Rose) which has two stunningly decorated bedrooms and a large living area, all in all making it a luxurious space for families. The decoration, not just in our own rooms but everywhere on site, is some of the most thoughtful and tasteful we have ever seen. The details are mastered to perfection! The hosts are charming, welcoming and speak very good English and they will go out of their way to make one feel at home and at ease. The breakfasts are a real treat, in particular the home-made jams, apple juice and yoghurt and the range of patisserie products delivered fresh and warm every morning. Culinary heaven! The tour of the vineyards and the owners' own make of champagne are just the icing on the cake, as are the outdoor pool and the reasonably priced Panier Gourmand, a picnic basket full of goodies (plus a bottle of champagne) that can be pre-ordered and enjoyed in complete privacy. The rural location, if one is looking for calm and relaxation is perfect, but Changy is also reasonably close to various in- and out-of-town attractions in this region, making it ideal for many holiday-makers. Been there, done that and tremendously enjoyed it - we shall be back again, soon!

We were returning from Paris to Belgium and we were looking for a special place to stay to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. This B&B was just perfect! The atmosphere is charming; the breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and accomodating. We hope to return soon for a longer stay.

Superb B&B. We had room Bois Rose which was two bedrooms (one twin & one double), bathroom and sitting room. It was extremely clean with some quirky but comfortable furniture and wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows!
The pool was a bonus on such a hot day after a fairly long drive from England via Calais. The owners were very hospitable and helpful and we had a glass of their champagne by the pool. (We also bought some to take with us which we recommend).
This was a great stop over from Calais on our way to Italy and is definately on our list for another stay if not for a long weekend enjoying the Champagne region.
You will need a car to dive (although not that far) to restaurants.

Room Tip: The church bells strike every half hour so take earplugs (although I hardly heard them). Two rooms a...

We were give a romantic suite, which was followed by excellent breakfasts. Corinne and Jean-Phillppe provided us with helpful information with which to exlore the region and taste the champagne. The land-rover trip to the vineyard and explanation of grape- growing and winemaking was first class. An unforgettable experience!

Room Tip: Go for the separate romantic suite if possible.

This was our second stay at La Loge Vigneronne and we will definately be back. We stay here on our way to and from racing in Austria. We love this little hidden gem of a hotel and it is a true home away from home.

We stayed in the blue room which is a big spaciaous room with role top slipper bath, seating area, fridge fully stocked with Champagne and very romantic four poster bed.

The hosts are wonderful people, very helpful and kind. They will help as much as they can and try very hard to correspond with their guests in English if needed.

The room also has a private balcony with seating overlooking the pool which is a real suntrap.

The pool is lovely and very welcome on the hot summer days and the pool area is spotlessly clean and the sun loungers very comfortable.

On hot days breakfast was served outside by the pool which was lovely. Breakfast is very hearty and wonderful with fresh coissants, bread, ham, fruit, cheese, homemade yoghurt and homemade apple and pear juice which is out of this world!

The hotel is well located to walk, cycle or drive around the champagne region and there is secure undercover parking.

We love our stays here and plan to return again next year.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our french boutique B&B “La Loge Vigneronne” is situated in the Champagne region. We have been open for fourteen years providing top quality, comfortable accommodation and hospitality to our guests. For people who are curious about Champagne or who are lovers of Champagne, we offer activities and events involving Champagne ! Our B&B is located in the centre of the Champagne region so it is the ideal place to base yourselves to tour the big champagne houses, cellars, the vineyards and of course the smaller winegrowers such as ourselves. We created our vineyard in Changy in the 1990’s. This was a new venture for our family. Over 12 years, with a lot of hard work and enthusiasm, we planted and cultivated 2ha of vines. In 2006 we saw all our work come to fruition with the production of our first champagne. Five years later we renovated Corinne’s family house next door to provide additional guest accommodation. Finally in 2016 we were very proud to open our cellar to the public where we welcome people to come and taste our champagnes. Whilst we share our knowledge of the winemaking process and tasting with our guests, our emphasis is on providing a fun and interactive experience. We would be delighted to welcome you to visit our world. During the “Landrovigne tour”, you will will learn in detail the process of creating our product from the vine to the bottle. You will have the opportunity to taste our champagnes and learn to appreciate the different complexities of our wines. New for 2017, you can take the driving seat of our Landrover, with Jean-Philippe in the passager seat acting as your guide. Good for two-hours getaway in the country of champagne ! ... more   less
