We have owned a house in a near by commune part of a little rural village called Champdolent for the last 15 years. It has only been this year that we found this rather special logis, some guests staying with us took us out for a thank you meal.
The entrance and central drive are very grand with the restaurant at the end between 2 little round towers.
So a very impressive set of buildings.
The meal started with a little amuse bouche followed by a nice selection of starters and a small choice of mains. This was the fixed menu for dinner. All very nicely cooked and presented.
The service discreet but a little too formal for outside eating. The wine was pricey but good.
We have found eating out in this part of France has become expensive and in lots of places not very good quality. This logis has given us a place to have good food close to home. We won't be able to eat here regularly but we will revisit on special occasions.
