We hit upon Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw by accident as we completed the walk from Abersoch . The house is stunning architecturally, but the delight is finding you can wander round and look at the lovely art collections. The views are amazing from the terrace and if we hadn't already enjoyed a coffee and cake at the hidden beah cafe at Llanbedrog we would love to have tried the cafe! Tea on the lawn is a must next time.

Have visited the cafe on many occasions and thought that it was special. However, I was very embarrassed on my recent visit when I took a friend who was visiting from abroad. It was about 4pm and no food was available. We only wanted ciabattas with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Not a lot of cooking involved in that! When our cappuccino arrived it was ghastly. The owner provided a second which was passable. Service from other staff was offhand. In fairness, my previous visit had been wonderful - but with a completely different team of people in the kitchen. I'm just sorry my friend had a poor experience when it was intended to be a treat. So avoid the cappuccino, but visit the wonderful gallery and enjoy the views!

We are regular visitors , we enjoy the walks and the wonderful views. We always end our visit with a satisfying lunch or cake at the cafe.who could resist that sweet trolley or home cooked quiche ?the staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful.
Well worth a visit, just be careful on the walk if its wet , it can muddy and slippy( wear sensible footwear ) it's lovely on a warm day to sit outside. It can get busy but service is always good.
