Stayed here for weekend in November very pleasant hotel only downside was on Monday morning there was not enough staff on for the amount of guests but other than that it was certainly value for money.

My wife and l stayed at the Gables on Saturday 25 Nov 2017. We had travelled from the West Midlands to Perth and then to Gretna for a well deserved rest. We found the staff to be second to none who saw to our needs, the room was welcoming, warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was what the doctor ordered to see us on our way. We will return.
Many thanks to all.

My wife and I stayed for two nights this week and we would class the hotel as very and value for money. The room was clean, functional and had all the niceties you would expect. They were busy with weddings, but the management and team seemed to organise the logistics well, and they were pleasant and helpful. We can commend the restaurant and quality of food in the evening and breakfast. When we arrived, we were not expected until the next evening (the fault of the booking agent), but the receptionist quickly reassured that she could fix it and we were welcome - top marks for that! Overall I can recommend and we would certainly stay again.

So had a Saturday night overnight stay on a wine and dine deal. Room was ok and fairly clean although a little tired and very squeaky floor boards. The food was lovely, the evening meal had lots of choice and breakfast was very Scottish really yummy. Sadly although the staff were pleasant they are very slow and not attentive. Had to wave them over a lot and ask to order etc. So simple to get this right if organised. The hotel generally felt small and cosy once in although had a lot of rooms and mainly busy because of weddings. Would rather pay a little bit more and get the service right!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Gables Hotel last weekend; Sunday/Morning. The hotel was lovely throughout, from the
bedrooms to the restaurant and the bar and all the public areas. The food was excellent too; we were on the DB&B offer. The food was extremely tasty and there was a wide variety of choice on the menu. The full Scottish breakfast in the morning was wonderful too. The staff were all very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
