This 16th century farmhouse is amazing and located in a beautifull area. Everything you want on your holiday you find it here. The houses are clean, fully equipped and with every modern convenience you want, or need.
the pool is so refressing and clean. There are lots of things to do in and around the house (swimming, darths, games, dvd's, table tennis etc) but also in the small villages wich ar about a 15 minute drive away. A canoe trip is highly recommended the Dordogne is a wide but calm river and there is lots to see. Last but not least, the owners are very welcomming and hospitable, they made a piece of paradise in the Dordogne. (sorry for my poor english i'm dutch :) )
Can't say enough about the place, our hosts the area it's all superb. Particularly fond of the 'emergency wine'. Just in case yours should run out. I'd recommend it for groups of friends or families.
I can't articulate well enough just how fantastic this place is. From arrival to departure we felt welcome along with the nice isolation feeling but knowing Rupert and Frank were there to answer questions.
The rooms, the pool, the land, the kitchen with every amenity you need means it is like a home from home
The surrounding areas are simply beautiful and you feel like a king of your own area (or queen!)
So grateful that we managed to stay here! It truly was bliss and everything was extremely well catered for. We were looked after so well.
Would definitely recommend it to friends and family passing through this area or looking for a specific destination for some rest and relaxation!
Wow and beautiful are the words to describe Le Mas & Le Mazet! What a wonderful stay! The properties were amazing and the owners Rupert and Franck were two of the nicest people. We could not have asked for a better holiday! Thank you again for your great hospitality.
Le Mas is spectacular - a beautifully renovated barn conversion in the middle of the Dordogne countryside, a simply 15 minute drive from Montpazier. Rupert & Franck could not have been more welcoming and were perfect hosts for our long weekend for a friend's wedding, where they had 12 of us staying for 4 days - we certainly got through the emergency wine!
Comfy beds, perfect views and 25c all weekend ensured a perfect stay and much downtime by the pool. Fantastic bbq area to watch the sun go down too, such a shame to leave, though cannot recommend highly enough and would love to go back and spend more time there in the summer season.
If you're considering Le Mas & Le Mazet, go for it - you won't be disappointed!
This beautiful converted 16th century farmhouse has been considerately refurbished by both Rupert and Frank. The accommodation was spacious, light and airy with each bedroom (6 en-suites in total in high season) kitted out with top end products and linen. There was even a choice of soft or hard pillow! The outdoor kitchen was a big hit with enough seating for all eight of us and the blue tooth portable speakers kept the teenagers busy and the atmosphere fun. The best bit was lying next to the pool surrounded by nothing other than greenery and the occasional deer that chose to saunter past. And with no-one around to hear any noise we had the best fun! See you both soon!
