“fabulous for families”
Reviewed May 7, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

4 families stayed here in May 2013. The accomodation is spacious, luxurious and equipped with everything you could possibly want. Lots of lovely touches - like an old desk full of felt pens and paper for children to use.

The area is full of fun things to do with the family - the Afan mountain biking trail - 3 miles from the house - was up there with 'canyoning' according to my children. We hired bikes and spent a whole day whizzing around the trails - a bit like a ski resort there are trails for beginners all the way up to black scary ones for thrill seekers. There is even a skill circuit - with ramps, jumps and so on for amateurs. Our friends with small children hired bikes with trailers - and their 4 and 6 year old had an amazing time.

The Gower peninsula is about 3/4 hour away - we spent a day at Tor Bay - a stunningly beautiful beach - with sand dunes (8 children spent about 4 hours running up, rolling down..), streams for damming, and gorgeous cliff top walks all around. This is one of the best beaches I've ever visited. The sand is perfect for building sand castles etc.

Within 1/2 an hours drive there are amazing waterfall walks - we spent our final day here - there were even mad canyonning people leaping off of the tops into the deep pools. In summer these would be perfect for swimming - there are c30 waterfalls to explore.

Definately a great base for families - so near to beaches, the Brecons, the Afan valley.

Reviewed March 26, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Had a cracking time staying here in March ,the setup for sleeping, eating is very well layed out.great open plan lounge area with enough room for everyone.
kitchen can easily cope with catering for 12,well equiped with a huge open plan dining area.
Drying/wash room for clothing works really well, clothes could easily be washed and dried for use the next day.
Bike storage is very secure and has an area for washing them off.
Plenty of facilities locally, friendly pub, supermarket,Indian and Chinese takeaways all within walking distance.
All trails were within cycling distance or short car journey.
Highly recommend depotrd!
Will be planning another trip to Wales soon and will definately be staying here again.

“Very spacious, every amenity for cyclists”
Reviewed February 24, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Loved the spacious open plan sitting/dining area with comfy sofas, wood burning stove and underfloor heating. Shower and utility rooms at the front means muddy wet gear can be washed and dried. Rooms are bright and fresh with comfortable beds.
Perfect location for mountain biking in Afan Forest Park - you can start directly from the chapel. Afan Forest has fantastic biking tracks for all abilities. Tracks are marked and graded with maps and bike hire nearby. Also good for walking and beach not far.

“Fantastic place, really well thought out”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We stayed with our two small children and our friends and their children - the children loved the open space, and especially the little inside courtyard. There's plenty of space for them to run about indoors, but out of the way of the kitchen etc.

The place is practically brand new, with a a great modern feel to it. It's a 60s or 70s chapel that's been converted into a lovely living space with great design features.

Kitchen and dining room and living room are all in one big room, with the kitchen part on a kind of raised bit at one side. There's a huge logburner in the corner where the tv and sofa are. The whole thing really works well - enough space to spread out and do different things, but all sort of together anyway.
In fact, thinking about it, it's that big room that makes the place feel so enormous - the layout, with the living space spread round the edge, means it can take a big group without people being on top of each other.

The bedrooms are a good size, and the en suite showers are really good. Children loved the big bunk beds, too.

All in all, fantastic place, ideal for family get togethers, or group trips. Absolutely a cut above the usual rental places you get...
