The food is first class. The staff were just so friendly and helpful. I can see why this shop gets such a good name. Other customers were having the fish and chips which looked so good and so much of it. We make a round trip of 30miles for this meal every week and it is worth every mile. Highly recommended, we will be back I am sure.

Travelled through the mountains with friends on a cold snowey day for fish and chips here. We had heard so much about it and we were not disappointed. Since it is famous for it's fish and chips you need to go and try it!!! They will cook the fish without batter or breadcrumbs if that's what you want. We were in the "sit-in" and it was very busy even with the weather. The owners are very friendly and took time to speak to us. Even after a huge plate of food, along with wheaten bread we had dessert which was just as good!! All the staff deserve a mention for their attention!

The Galley was spotless. We even got a glimpse of the floor mop and it was pure white!!!!

Can highly recommend. It can be very busy in the summer so if you have to wait it will be worth it :-)) They even provide newspapers if you have time to spend.

Called at the Galley a few weeks ago for a "sit in". I ordered a warm chicken salad with chips and boy o boy was it good ?.Served so quickly despite it premises being very busy. The staff were just so friendly and helpful. I can see why this shop gets such a good name. Other customers were having the fish and chips which looked so good and so much of it. We made a round trip of 100 miles for this meal and it was worth every mile. Highly recommended,we will be back D.V
