Review of Amari Hua Hin

a brand new hotel.
very clean and modern.
very efficient staff.
wonderfull pool
the beach facility is 400 meters away from the hotel itself.
the area is a littel far from all the "action" and not so developed.not too many taxis to go to where the action is, especialy at night.
the hotel should provide a shuttle bus to go to the center of town, then it will be a "wild card"....
if you are looking for a quit luxary hotel you will not be disapointed.
Date of stay: September 2012
Room Tip: if you can afford it go for a pool view room.

Dear Iralaor

Thank you for your kind review, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

We are situated at beautiful Khao Takiab beach, a couple of kilometers from the centre of town. There are a number of interesting little local restaurants and a couple of famous beachside seafood restaurants in our area, plus of course the highly regarded arts & crafts market called "Cicada" for some fantastic shopping.

We provide a shuttle service into town daily so that our guests can also visit the sights and restaurants there.

Hope to see you again soon.

We have stay here for 2 nights. Room was nice and lots of space. It just open but well organized. Staffs are so helpful and friendly.

Their coffee and bakery was nice and cozy. Try their home made ice cream. It so good.

Would be back again soon.

Room tip: Room with pool view was nice.

This is the first time we are staying at an Amari property. The place and quality of service is totally exceeded our expectation. We were upgraded to Pool Deluxe room from Hillside Deluxe. The bed and linen are exquisite. Soft with enough support not to feel too sunken. The room is brand new spoylessly clean and very intuitive. Fresh coofffe facility in-room. The breakfast was very tasty with numerous choice of juices and pastires and hot food. The ground is beautiful from triple volume Lobby that bright and energizing to outdoor and pool area with many sun beds and large pool. Attentive staffs from front to every part of the hotel. We were greeted at the door and didn't have to lift a finger since, and free valet service too. Variety room service menu with half the price of Intercontinental.WOuld definitely be amoung of our first choices when coming to Hua Hin. Totally agrre with previous review that this property is closer to five than four stars!! Thanks Amari for the all round wonderful stay.

Room tip: Deluxe rooms have the same size and I imagine the same facilities, just slightly varied view. So you are basically paying the difference for the view. Except if you are staying in the suites of course.

For a brand new hotel they're doing a lot right.

Service was spot on, from our booking to the arrival, full marks for calling us by our names (ok so they didn't seem too busy at the time but it's still nice).

Our room was in the side building overlooking the huge pool and garden. On the far side there is another hotel going up and although it's unsightly, it's far enough away not to be a disturbance. Rooms were very clean, well laid out and bright.

For us the main feature was the beach club which you reach with a golf buggy, a bit of a trek by foot in the heat but well worth it. The local wine was a pleasant surprise.

At a bit over 2 hours from the airport we felt it's worth the trip and will be back.

Room tip: High floor

We have stayed before in an Amari. This one in Hua Hin is a whole different type of hotel. We had a fantastic short stay.

First, the design should be mentioned. Vibrant blues and Asian browns greet you on arrival, a lovely visual experience. The check in was smooth, our receptionist was lovely. A nice surprise was that we were approached during check in by another lady who offered us assistance and advice for our stay and she had an iPad with all sorts of info to help. Nice touch. I think she said she was the Amari Host.

Room was immaculate, clean and bright. You need to book a room higher up to get sea view, definitely recommend this. There was an iPod docking station in the room too which was very
welcome. TV channels were fairly standard with some movies and the usual news channels.

Breakfast was a generous buffet, good, fresh baguettes and bread. We also tried their deli, pool bar and beach club. All with good food but the stand out place was the beach club. The setting (obviously at the beach) was classic. We ate barbecue grilled meats there and drank beers with some great chill it music in the background.

Didn't use the spa but it looked nice. Also didn't use the gym, they were laying a floor so it was closed at the time.

Room tip: High floor for ocean view

Dear David

It was a pleasure sharing your review with the team, thank you for taking the time to write about your stay.

I am glad to see that you met our Amari Hosts. Their goal is to help our guests maximize their stay both in the hotel and around Hua Hin. They have recommendations covering local sporting activities, shopping, cultural events and restaurant tips.

Next time maybe try Breeze Spa too! We are laying a very special gym floor, hence it is closed until 18 September.

Hopefully we will see you again soon.

I visited the Amari Hua Hin in early August of this year, prior to its opening to the public. I came as a guest with a family of 5 on my first trip to Thailand. After staying in Bangkok for 3 days, the Amari Hua Hin was an absolute paradise. The staff were incredible with their smiles, willingness to provide assistance, and efficiency. They not only helped us, but took time to get to know us. By day 2 they knew us as we walked into breakfast and went to dine by the beach.

The area is incredibly safe and quiet but still has plenty to do like shopping at the night market, jet skiing in the ocean, having fun at the waterpark, or relaxing at a spa. Shopping and activities are all close by and the hotel provides transportation to nearly anything you can find in the area.
The food was delicious as well. Breakfast was great, poolside food was scrumptious, and dinner by the beach was perfect.

For the 4-star rating, you get everything and more. I couldn't believe it was only 4-stars. I have already bragged to everyone I know back home about the Amari Hua Hin and have been mentally planning my next trip back. I would highly recommend (and already have) this hotel, and city, to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
