The gite is set in a beautiful rural location surrounded by fields. It was the perfect base to either sit outside by the pool and relax or to visit local towns and markets. You do need to have a car if you want to go sight seeing. Lindsey & Gerry were really welcoming and helpful when it came to ideas of where to visit, places to eat, which markets were on which days etc. They live in a barn next door to the gite which was great for us knowing they were there if we needed them. The property itself was beautifully clean with everything we needed and a had a great kitchen for when we just wanted to stay put for the day. We stayed there as a family - nobody was bored, there was something for everyone.
We would definitely go back again.
This is the second time we have visited and won't be the last. The gite is immaculate; well maintained and has everything you need. The views are stunning, no traffic or noisey neiboughs.
The owners, Lindsey and Gerry, made themselves available to us whenever we needed advise on where to visit, shop or eat, in fact they couldn't have been nicer.
The surrounding area has plenty to do, medieval village of Eynet is only a short drive away and definitely worth a visit (has a night market too) Loads of other things to do: City of Bergerac is beautiful with great shops, canoeing along the Dordogne, wine tasting, and so many pretty villages.
Have already booked our next visit... can't wait!!
