“Wonderful remote retreat in Etna's nature reserve”
Review of Bosco Ciancio

Bosco Ciancio
Ranked #14 of 35 Restaurants in Biancavilla
Price range: $8 - $18
Cuisines: Italian
Description: Alloro’s restaurant is the perfect place to meet and refresh yourself after a day exploring the Etna and its nature. Our kitchen is typically Sicilian and is made by genuine products of our region. A rare and memorable location where you can discover and enjoy tastes, smells and colors of the island and the Mediterranean. Every moment is an emotion to be celebrated with taste and the company of an excellent Sicilian wine completes the pleasure. If you have particular needs and tastes we can create a special menu just for you; vegan dishes on request.

Bosco Ciancio is one of those quiet places hidden from the hustle of normal life. A lovely little hotel just on the outskirts of Etna's nature reserve and ideally placed for a trip to the Volcano. A journey to the volcano's tourist cable-car is probaby around a 20 minute drive from the hotel assuming you don't get lost. Be advised that SatNav can be a little bit sketchy in places as you really are starting to commune with nature up here. We were given a rough paper map that helped us isolate the important landmarks (e.g. a large tree) that would help you turn at the appropriate moments to get to and from Etna.

Our family had a lovely stay at Bosco Ciancio. The property of special, being a very old building that have been very tastefully restored and fitted out. The elevation, being at 2500', means the climate is beautiful in the summer. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, the evening dinner was outstanding and breakfast very good. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend visiting Bosco Ciancio.

We stayed at Bosco Ciancio for 5 nights and ate there for 4 of the 5 nights because the food was so incredible. What a talented chef. Each evening she delighted us with a new and delicious meal, from the pasta to the fillet, and amazing panacotta, simply scrumptious. if you are a foody, this is a place not to miss. The staff are equally as incredible with nothing too much trouble. Warm and friendly and helpful, we will be back! The location is far from the madding crowds of the beaches and if you love mountains and bike riding and walks in forests, then there is no place better. Great cappucino too! We will be back. Just loved it.

The fixed-menu dinners change every night in this restaurant linked to the hotel of the same name. The dinners are overall excellent, with some imaginative options (including rabbit), good selection of wines and local desserts. Served in a nice setting, either in the patio or indoors, depending on the weather. Definitely an option to consider if you are staying at the hotel or nearby.
