A family group of five adults, we were looked after with great courtesy and attention. Dinner for 35 people or so was served up with no fuss, food was great. Breakfasts were generous and tasty. Lovely location, I hope to be back.More

Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us at The Grand Hotel and for your positive feedback. We take pride in our food and as such it is very rewarding to hear that your party enjoyed it. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.
The Grand Hotel works hard to please the business customer. While the meeting rooms might not be as modern as newer hotels, this is made up for with the level of service provided. The meeting refreshments represented great value for money.
Similarly the hotel rooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean and fresh and the breakfast menu provided a great choice and variety.
It was also good to be asked if there were any areas where the hotel could improve and there appeared to be an openness to hear what customers had to say.
Many thanks for staying at The Grand Hotel and for taking the time to post your comments. As you pointed out we really value what our customers have to say and we work to use feedback in the most constructive way possible to improve our guests' experience. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Fermoy in the future.
Beside the Blackwater River, in a beautiful position. It was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was good. A nearby nightclub could be a negative if staying at a weekend (which we weren't).
Thank you for staying with us at The Grand Hotel and for your positive feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Fermoy at some time in the future.
Friendly accommodating staff - mostly (see below). Location fine - near Cork city - off the motorway.
The hotel does not have a car park and on street parking is limited to 2 hours - even on Saturday afternoon - crazy.
Excellent breakfast and rooms are fine even though hotel is a bit dated.
On arrival I asked about parking and was told the situation. When I objected I was told (by the lady working in the bar, but covering reception) that there was a B&B nearby which I could use - not very good start - we were a party of 5 taking 3 rooms! However when we went to check-in the gentleman at the reception (John) was way more helpful.
Otherwise would recommend the hotel.
Thank you for staying at The Grand Hotel and for your feedback. We are currently attempting to resolve the two hour parking problem with the town council and will update our website once an outcome has been reached. In addition, we are continually updating the hotel whilst trying to maintain the charm and character that comes with such a historic property.
My family stayed at the Grand Hotel in July 2011.Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The room we stayed in had a brilliant view of the famous Blackwater river. The staff are very helpful and friendly,a special mention though to John C,very professional young man.On both nights my family and I ate in the Restaurant, the food,it was a spectacular meal that was served up to us on both occasions, especially the hake. There is a lot to do in the town and out of 5 stars I would give it 5!
Just spent a terrific weekend with family and friends at The Grand Fermoy. Staff could not do enough, very friendly and efficient. Comfortable room overlooking the river,
clean, and very spacious. Bathroom could do with some upgrading, but shower worked a treat. Lovely Bar and very good food in Restaurant. Newly decorated public areas, very comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning, with great choice. Great value. Highly recommended.
