The Stauntons were great hosts. Always made you feel welcome. The breakfasts were delicious and abundant. The room was clean and quite cozy. The Azure was an easy walk to downtown Sutton and to the Sutton DART station (an easy 15 minute ride into Dublin). The price was incredibly reasonable. I'm coming back. Thanks, Eileen and Tom!

We spent the first and last nights of our 7 days in Ireland at Tom and Eileen Staunton's Azure B&B at Howth. We couldn't have asked for more pleasant, friendly, helpful hosts than Tom and Eileen. From the moment we arrived they couldn't do enough for us. The beautiful surroundings of Tom's rose garden was such a pleasure, and their home was so very clean and neat. Their close proximity to the restaurants at the boat harbour was a real bonus, plus it was so relaxing to just walk around there.

The Azure B&B in Sutton is a great place to discover Dublin and it´s surrounding (even without a car, Dart station is just 20-30 min. walking distance) and is situated in a very peaceful area. But the best part are Tom and Eileen (the owners of Azure). They are very welcoming (even if you arrive late at night), caring and helpful. We enjoyed our cosy and very comfortable room (actually the best bed we slept in during our stay in Ireland :-) They are not only flexible in their breakfasthours (which is great when you have a full schedule) but also willing to prepare a vegi irish breakfast with delicious tea. We highly recommend this B&B!!!

during our Ireland trip my daughter and me spend - like last year - 2 nights at the comfortable house of the Eillen & Tom Staunton. It is such a beautiful place close to Howth and they made us feel a little bit like being at home. Great breakfast - try Eillens porridge. 2 very friendly and always helpful people.
Azure is an unconditional recommendation.

We will come back...

My husband and I spent our last 2 nights in Ireland at the Azure, and what a wonderful experience! The B and B is located in a relatively upscale residential neighborhood in Sutton, about midway between the Sutton and Howth DART train stations (great for easy trips into Dublin without the car). Eileen and Tom are 2 of the most gracious hosts we have ever met; the home is just beautiful, and the rooms are wonderfully quiet and relaxing. We were given the "Family Room" on the main floor, and a full Irish breakfast, along with coffee, juice, toast and breads greeted us each morning.

Both Eileen and Tom were quick to offer dining and activity suggestions, but also did not hover over us! Their presence was always in the background, but they were always ready to help. Tom was even extremely apologetic that he had to explain the Dublin surcharge that was not included on our vouchers! We certainly understood (as the vouchers are the same for the enitre island) but he kept apologizing and saying that he was so sorry that he had to bring us this "bit of bad news". The entire charge amounted to about 15 euros and we had no problem paying it!.

When travelling to Dublin, the Azure is the place to stay! We would not hesitate to stay with Eileen and Tom again. It is the epitome of Irish hospitality!!!!!

Room Tip: The Family Room is actually 2 rooms (2 double beds and a twin). We did not see the upstairs rooms.

My mom and I stayed at the Azure during our last two nights in Ireland. We did not want to drive in Dublin and the B&B is very near 2 train stations, just a short ride into the city. Also minutes away from the beautiful Howth Peninsula and lots of great restaurants. The best part was it's proximity to the airport. We had an early flight and the wonderful hosts made us a loaf of fresh brown bread to take because we missed breakfast! We stayed in a large ground floor room that would be perfect for a family of four.

Room Tip: We stayed in the ground floor
