I took my american cousins here recently, they loved the experience, from watching roy the dog round up the sheep to feeding the baby lambs at the end, they enjoyed every minute of it, Tom the owner was very friendly and let my cousins try their hand at sheering, cutting turf and feeding the lambs....They loved being so close to nature, my cousin even got her Selfie with a lamb!! Would recommend this to everyone.

My friend and I recently visited Killary Sheep Farm. It was an amazing experience. Roy the sheepdog is a wonderdog! And Toms demonstration of sheep shearing was nothing short of remarkable. From the walk up to the bog to the spectacular views and finishing with feeding the lambs Killary Sheep Farm is a truly humbling and heart warming experience from start to finish. Thanks Tom for a day to remember.

We visited Tom's Killary Sheep Farm after seeing a brochure at our B & B in Clifden, Co Galway, Ireland. We had to call ahead to schedule our tour and were able to visit the farm the next morning. The drive to the farm was beautiful- we weren't sure how far to drive in so if you go, keep driving till you see the Sheep farm sign. Tom, the young man who owns/runs the farm was very friendly and helped us get our "gear" on (raincoat and boots) then showed us how his dogs work the sheep. It was amazing to watch his dog herding the sheep- even being able to listen to Tom's commands at such a far distance away when he was talking in a normal tone of voice! We then walked to the peat bogs, and on the way, Tom shared with us interesting information about the area, his farm and animals, a little of his family history and how he started his business. Later, he showed us how he cut and dried the peat and then we headed back to feed some thirsty lambs with baby bottles! It was such a fun, informative experience that we will always remember! Well worth the visit!

Tom comes from a long line of shepherds and really enjoys showing people his way of life. His farm sits in one of the prettiest parts of the country with mountains and ocean surrounding his farm. Watching the dog demonstration was truly impressive as to what he can train them to do. We then explored the farm and saw the Peatbogs. Ended with feeding baby lambs and that's always fun. Tom is a great host with a lot of knowledge which creates for an authentic Irish experience. Highly enjoyed by our group of 8 young adults

After a day of immersing ourselves in the absolute breathtaking beauty of the Connemara, we stopped at the Killary Sheep Farm. We were pleasantly greeted by Tom and shown to the barn to select our "mucking boots" and given our walking stick! We were treated to an extraordinary demonstration of sheep herding by Tom's recently trained, beautiful dog. It was amazing! We then began a hike to the bogs with Tom sharing interesting tidbits of information and answering any and all questions about the land and his farm. Upon arriving at the bogs he showed us how the peat is cut and stored for use as their primary energy source . . . incredibly interesting! Anyone who wished to could participate! The view of the Killary Fjiord from this vantage point was heart-stopping! At this point we began our descent back down to the farm where are best reward awaited us . . . feeding the sweet baby lambs! This was an experience that we would highly recommend to all! Thanks, Tom!
