“Peaceful and relaxing with great views.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a B and B basis. We had a wonderful time. Staff so friendly and food was very good. We ate in the restaurant one night and the bar the second night. Both had good menus. Such good views from both bar and restaurant. We went there to relax and that we did. It is so peaceful and a great place to chill out. I think the fact that there is no tv is a great move. If you wanna watch tv stay at home. If you want to relax then this is your hotel. Thanks Delphi for a lovely break.

My wife an I had an overnight stay at the Delphi Mountain Lodge in June to celebrate an anniversary - I have stayed in some wonderful hotels before, but after staying in the Delphi, I felt compelled to write a review and share our experience.

The hotel itself is a beautifully designed building, nestled among some very impressive mountains. The weather was drizzly for our entire stay, but the views were still spectacular - I can only image how amazing it must look on a sunny day! Inside the hotel was just as wonderful - modern, spacious, wonderful spa, peaceful and quiet, spotlessly clean rooms. And the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

We didn't undertake any of the activities, so my comments relate to the hotel itself - we had a wonderful time, and look forward to our next visit.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a real getaway retreat!

Stayed here for two nights. Two adults and twelve year old son. Ate in restaraunt on the first night , the food was amazing. Went to bar and had cocktails and chat with a great barman named Sean T. Kayaking next day was fantastic. Great instructor George. Bar food was great. Can't wait to get back. Will be recommending it to everyone.

After spending 1 night at the Delphi, we where so sorry we did not spend at least 3 nights here. It is so picturesque, relaxing and a fantastic place to go for some real time out. Our room was lovely, spotless and very cosy. The Spa and treatment rooms are a little piece of heaven and the staff especially Rose and Eilleen are wonderful. Food was fantastic, only complaint is maybe a little more to choose from. Bar was very relaxed but had an good athmosphere too. I will definitely return just wish it was this weekend.

Just back from a weekend break in Delphi. Mixed feelings!
Staff very good & professional everywhere. Restaurant was very nice, and the evening food & drinks and the service - excellent! Nice bar area and lounge (TV to watch news or a match would be good).
From the activities we did canoeing - good organization and good fun :) and horseriding - very nice experience.Area lovely, but take a bug repellent, otherwise horseflies and other god's creatures will eat you alive!
We booked a family package for 700e for 3 nights, 2 dinners included. A bit too pricy for the standard of the room! Sorry to say but I found the room (primrose) a bit small and shabby - marks on the wall and ceiling (!), dirty sockets and heater... Funny smell in the bathroom. Photos on booking.com show other rooms, not ours... But beds and towels ok and clean, tea/coffee, iron, hairdryer available. No TV in the room - which is nowadays a standard in every hotel and B&B! And even a small thing like lack of facilities to hang and dry wet clothes and swimming suits, which is unavoidable if you're doing water activities - painful.
Wifi only in the reception, no mobile coverage - prepare for that.
Overall I would come back if I got a better deal and a nicer room. Plus if you're going with kids you need a good weather - adventure centre is a great idea if the weather is decent, otherwise not much else to do there, apart from board games!

This resort was the highlight of our family's 18 day vacation.

We stayed at the resort for three nights and had a two-bedroom, two story suite. It was plenty of room for our family of four and in a gorgeous location.

While the Delphi is centrally located to several Connemara towns, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. It's quiet and a beautiful hotel.

While it was one of the first times EVER that there was not a TV for my teens to watch, they were so enthralled with the nearby lake, bike riding and kayaking that they didn't notice. The resort has a great adventure sport facility and they arranged for nearby activities such as horseback riding on the beach.

The staff is the friendliest and hardest working that we have encountered anywhere. The same group of dining staff was working every meal and took great care of us. The food was great and the service even better.

The activities are pricey, although bikes are complementary. The food is also on the pricey side and you are a bit of a captive audience since you are so far out. That said, it was a trip highlight and we hope to go back....and stay longer.

Room Tip: If you have a family 1A was awesome!

had a 2 night break here 12-14 July.

The welcome was warm, the location absolutely stunning, and our loft room was very comfortable: no complaints and will return.

It wasn't the cheapest option, but worth the cost for the relaxing ambience and comfort.

Room Tip: loft rooms quirky, sitting area downstairs & galleried bedroom above: lovely woodwork throughout...
