(the place is now called the Sheep And Wool Centre) Went into the museum and finally got to pet a real live sheep. very friendly lady showed us spinning wool. I bought knitting wool in the shop. We had monster scones and homemade jam in the cafe, which had really good coffee and sat outside with a great view. great visit.

This place had everything you want while on holiday or just passing by...The cafe offers everything from delicious homemade scones and jam, club sandwiches to the best cappuccinos and lattes...The shop has all the souvenirs you will need and beautiful handmade jewellery that you wont be able to not treat yourself or someone else to.. In the museum you are shown how the sheep's wool can be made into wooly jumpers and scarves by using the spinning wheel and loom...I found this all very interesting. There are also Sheep Shearing demos, loads of information on all the breeds of sheep in the Connemara area and a brief history on how the wool industry was and still is very important in this area..:) all in all...well worth the visit :)
