We took a 3 hour kayaking tour. Our guide, Bruce, was from New Zealand, but was very knowledgeable concerning the flora and fauna of the Killary Fjord. We saw a nest of newborn Seagulls. We also saw Oystercatchers, birds we were not familiar with. There is quite a mussel farming operation in the fjord. Bruce described the process from eggs to harvest regarding the mussels. We were on a cycling tour and the weather had been quite warm. Paddling the kayaks on the fjord was a pleasant cool change from our cycling

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a trip to this place on Saturday and had the time of our lives. The experience was just fantastic! We arrived saturday morning to be greeted by a guy from reception which guided us upstairs for tea and coffee while they readied themselves to brief us on the activities. We were then told that because our group was so small that we would be finished our activity package early (we did zip line, trapeze, giant swing and bungee) and if we liked we could join the afternoon group for some more activities which was completely free of charge! I was hesitant at first as they were water activities and i had no change of clothes or anything but then they said they supplied wetsuits! Everything just fell perfectly into place and whatever activity you are doing they can cater for you... Believe me! The lunch was also included in the package and it was yummy! A small platter of sandwiches, soup, fruit, biscuits and tea and coffee! You cannot go wrong with this place! I would recommmend it for couples, families, hens and stags parties, everyone! Thank you again Killary Adventure Centre! We will be back!

Have just returned from a hen weekend in the Killary Adventure Centre. A group of 14 girls who all had an absolute ball from the minute we arrived. We had the recreation room reserved for us on the Friday night where we had free reign. Arriving after a long drive to a warm fire and cosy atmosphere was great.
Saturday we had activities in the morning, a lovely lunch and then two more activities in the afternoon. We finished our gorge walking a little bit early and the instructors then gave us a turn on the trapeze jump. The activities suited our group and pushed us out of our comfort zone a bit too, which was great!
Cannot compliment every staff member we dealt with enough. The extra bits of moving our celebration balloons to around our lunch table the next morning made us all smile.
And a night out in Westport on the Saturday to top it off, a bus to bring us in and collect us made it completely hassle free.
We'll all be recommending this weekend to our friends and family.

Visited Killary Adventure Centre recently to take part in a bungee jump which was bought for me as a Christmas present.

The journey from Galway to the centre is not to be underestimated and takes over an hour as the roads are old. However the scenery and experience at the centre is not to be missed.

I found the staff at the centre so helpful and was offered tea and coffee before my jumo. The staff were great banter and talked me through all the safety checks and what i was too expect when i jumped which i found very reassuring.

Overall a very professional and enjoyable experience.

Hope the family don't see this comment...would never live it down...
