I stay`d at Ferndale B&B for 3 night`s and i meet a kindness and a hospitality that are rare these days. Noel and Josie are not only the nicest elderly couple with a lot of stories to tell, they also make you feel right at home. I also like that it is so easy to get to Dublin for there, jump on the 44 bus and less than an hour later you are in the big city..

I will most definitely visit Ferndale B&B again :-)

Lovely comfy, cosy B&B in a beautiful period house. The owners made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of useful tips for our stay. Arrived for New Year at Powerscourt and had a great time. Irish breakfast was a great start to the first morning and our New Year's Day breakfast was moved a little later to accomodate our slightly sore heads! Owner Josie even offered to iron my shirt for the party. Proper Irish hospitality.

We stayed there for one night. The place has a very good location. A nice spot for starting a tour around the Wicklow. The room was clear, the beds very comfortable. We ate irish breakfast in the morning. The food was served on time and contained everything what a proper Irish breakfast should have. The owners are very kind, generous couple, very helpful and hospitable. Especially the owner who has very story telling skills :) Reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Spent one lovely night at Ferndale B&B. Josie and Noel are warm and welcoming hosts. Noel was a wealth of knowledge on planning out our route while we enjoyed a piece of Josie's delicious apple rhubarb crumble. The bed was very comfortable which is a good thing since it was our first night in Ireland and we slept 12 hours! We woke to a delicious Irish breakfast and Josie's home made brown bread (we would have preferred our bread/toast to only be Josie's brown bread). Noel's gardens are beautiful and still looked good even in the middle of October. It is located in the center if the village which allowed us to walk across the street to Emilia's Italian restaurant for dinner. It is close to Powerscourt for a visit to the gardens or a round of golf.

My husband and I began our 3 week tour of Ireland by staying four nights at Ferndale and looking back I can honestly say that no place else that we stayed in Ireland could top Ferndale for hospitality. The location is close to Dublin and easily accessible by bus from the airport (the bus stop is literally just a few steps from the front door!) The village of Enniskerry is charming and very friendly. After a long flight and a serious amount of jet lag we were welcomed into the sitting room by Josie and offered tea, muffins and biscuits. Our luggage was taken to our room which was beautifully decorated and well appointed with a large en-suite bathroom complete with soap, shampoo and conditioner. After a nap we decided to explore the village and ended up at a pub across the street which offered good food, excellent service and a little slice of village life. You would be hard pressed to find a better breakfast in a more beautiful setting that at Josie and Noel's dining room table. The food is delicious and Josie makes her own brown bread and jams. The dining room looks out over the beautiful gardens at Ferndale and is a very relaxed setting. Powerscourt Gardens are within walking distance and well worth a day's sightseeing. The bus ride into Dublin is easy and makes exploring the city much nicer than driving. Noel also acts as an excellent guide to help you plan out your Ireland tour. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and will even help plan your route for you. Josie and Noel cannot seem to do enough for their guests and by the time we left we felt like we had made new friends. Don't miss out on this little slice of Irish hospitality!!

We stayed two nights here after arriving in Ireland. It is very close to Dublin and easy to get to by car from the airport. It is a great location to use as a base to see Powerscourt, Russborough House and Glendalough. The hosts, Noel and Josie are lovely people, very welcoming. The breakfast is simple but good. There is a 5 Euro extra fee for hot breakfast. Noel is very helpful at helping you plan your trip. There is a great pub directly across the street with live music.
The house is old but in good condition, built in about 1840.
Definitely recommend it.

Whenever I have a couple of days in Ireland, I'm staying with Josie and Noel, as this B&B offers everything possible, very comfortable rooms with beautiful antique furniture, very clean room and bathroom en-suite (in our twin room there was even a bidet), with coffee/tea-making facility and all comfort, anyone could wish for in a 4 star B&B. The breakfast is spectacular and every wish is happily attended to by kind Josie and Noel.
We had absolutely NO problems with bed-bugs, we stayed at the same time as the people complaining about this problem (this problem was attended to by a professional company straight away). This splendid accommodation only deserves the best ratings. The entire place is spotlessly clean, very warm and welcoming. My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights this time. Thanks to Josie and Noel for making it so pleasant for us again !
