Our menu was wonderful, except for the salmon entree. It was quite bland and underwhelming. The salad, bread & dessert were great. The waiter was a bit obnoxious. We were the first reservation of the evening and the waiter just stood next to our table for most of our meal.

Considering the feedback (criticism) Gordon Ramsay gives to other restauranteurs, I was expecting exceptional service and at least very good if not exceptional food. Both were severely lacking. The service was very slow - it took about 20 minutes from the time we sat down, for someone to come back and ask us what we wanted to drink and another 10 minutes for us to get a drinks menu. I am vegetarian and they actually had a separate menu for vegetarians. My beetroot and goats cheese appetizer was very good. However, my mushroom risotto was average - a dish I could have found at any restaurant. The dessert I had was the dark chocolate with vanilla icecream. Though the presentation was stunning, the chocolate was far sweeter than dark chocolate should be. The restaurant was, however, reasonably priced at 33 euros per person. The drinks were expensive though.

My daughter and I are in Ireland celebrating my 60th birthday and are staying at the Powerscourt. We chose to dine last night at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant ordering from the Table for Two menu. From beginning to end the waitstaff, which works splendidly as a team, made us feel elegant by attending to each detail of our evening. Our three course meal was beautifully presented with a taste to match. We were encouraged to linger and savor our meal and evening. While expensive, the cost was on par with similar name restaurants in the United States. All elements combined perfectly to provide us with a once-in-a-lifetime dinner and special memories that we will take home with with us!

The service was wonderful, thank you Alberto :-) The food was excellent. We had breakfast there every day, and whether you choose the buffet or the a la carte, you can't go wrong.

The food was phenomenal and amazing! If it weren't so expensive, we'd have loved to eat there a second time!

We didn't like how dark the dining area was, but it was decorated very nicely.
