“Just wonderful !!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

As I love Dolls Houses I was really looking forward to seeing Taras Palace and I certainly wasnt disappointed. It is in a wonderful position on the first floor in Powerscourt House with views out over the gardens. The lady on the desk gave us a run down of the history of the dolls house and was happy to answer any questions. All proceeds go to charity and it is run by volunteers. The dolls houses are facinating to look at and it was a really lovely experience.

“A kid's dream”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

This was a wonderful not-for profit exhibit of the most intricate dollhouse that not only was incredible eye-candy, but also created an exact replica of life at that time...right down to the little miniature books, musical instruments, pets, clothes, everything.

300 Years of Dolls House's . And Children's Toy's. well worth the effort in visiting. .Age group 5 to 105.We got the 185 bus from Bray Railway Station to Powerscourt House .It was a 8 minute walk to the house .The views of the Wicklow mountains were Brillant. The Workmanship on Tara's Palace doll house was Labour Intensive and Skilled. the dolls and toys were Memories to behold for all age groups. The ramp walkway around Taras palace was brillant and the Mirrors on the floor of the dolls house, made it very easy to see the detail on the ceilings. we really enjoyed our visit. A great morning out. www.taraspalace.ie

“Don't miss Tara's Palace at Powerscourt”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Tara's Palace Museum of Childhood at Powerscourt House is absolutely delightful. The staff are all volunteers and are incredibly friendly and helpful, you can see that they are very dedicated to the museum and supporting the children's charities. The antique doll houses are truly something to see, and they have a "quiz" activity for children that seemed to enthrall the kids who were visiting while I was there. I truly enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful doll houses and the antique toys. Don't miss this!
