“Gourmet tea experience”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Tomas has genuine enthusiasm for tea and delights in serving the perfect cup. An unusually large selection of fine teas from all over the world and the knowledge and dedication to make sure the tea is perfectly brewed and served. We loved it! The sandwiches are remarkably cheap and delicious too!

“Lovely”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Gale force winds and whipping rain had us dash in dfor tea and a light lunch-I had a wonderful vegetarian sandwich and a chai tea that warmed my bones-perfection! Staff was attentive and helpful. Old Man is more meat and potatoes, so he wouldn't eat here again, but it is I who is writing this tea time review!

“Finest Tea in Ireland”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

really one of the best tea houses you could go to. great selection of really tempting teas which is impressive given that I am such a coffee drinker. Greta spot to get some work done, have a meeting, meet friends or read a book. Child friendly and great food too.

“Wonderfully original tea house”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

I popped in to Guru on a rainy afternoon whilst the boys were at the barbers. The proprietor was welcoming and enthusiastic about his tea selections. He asked what I liked and allowed me smell the aromas of a few of the hundred loose teas he has in stock. Each customer had different little ceramic or glass teapots on warmers with complementary cups and saucers.
He was very keen to know that I enjoyed my tea and we had a discussion about how to prepare tea properly. I ended up leaving with a bag of 'Jewel of the Orient' tea and a silver strainer. This was no hard sell, just such genuine enthusiasm and love of his teas. It is wonderful to fine someone doing something original. He deserves our support!

Came across this beautifully decorated tea room whilst on a day out. Fabulous range of worldwide teas served in fabulously crafted pots with a lounge area upstairs allowing you to have a relaxing time. The service is fantastically calming too!! Highly recommended!!
