“Great find!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

We passed through Lahinch unexpectedly this past weekend, and unlike the rest of my itinerary, this wasn't planned and so we weren't sure where to stay. We found this B&B and rang the bell, and she showed me the room she had available. It was stunning and spotless, and for the very reasonable rate of 30 euro pp, we took it immediately. We were thrilled we did! It was an easy 5 minute walk to town, where the proprietors brother and sister also own businesses (Kenny's Pub and Kenny Woolen Mills, respectively) and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed chatting with Edel in the morning, and again, I can't say enough about our beautiful room- the view was great and the skylights provided us with lots of light. We were really glad we stayed here and I would recommend it highly if you are staying overnight in Lahinch!

We had no itinerary as we traveled along the coast and barely spotted the Craglea Lodge when looking for a bed at 10pm. Surprised by a wonderful warm welcome after ringing the bell. Edel Kenny (proprietor) invited us in and encouraged we look at the rooms available before making any haste decision. The rooms were absolutely perfect. Ensuites, loads of space, very well kept, great matress and fine linens. We were surprised at the very affordable rate and took it instantly. The breakfast provided in the morning mirrored the care and attention of the place with fresh scones, the best coffee in ireland, fresh fruits and very well cooked meal. Edel provided the best service in the well furnished dining room. I really cant speak high enough of Edel and this B&B. Booking this place will not be a dissappointment.

A buddy and I were biking in West Ireland for 2 weeks and we had a 2 night stop here so we could golf at Lahinch Golf Club. The accommodation was spacious and inviting, and the hospitality and breakfast was first-rate. Edel recommended Kenny Pub for dinner and we loved the atmosphere and food enough to go there both evenings. Draco, the dog, was a real treat to have around for your pooch fix. You won't go wrong staying at Craglea!

This was the best B and B we stayed in on our trip. Luckily we had booked three nights! Edel was great and if you are missing your dog-you have Draco to say hello too. This was the only B andB that really had home baking. The room was beautiful (as were they all-I peeked) and it was an easy walk to all the things you needed in town Including great live music! Nothing bad to say.

Room Tip: All the room were very spacious.

My husband and I traveled southern Ireland for our honeymoon and this was the last B&B we stayed in. Talk about saving the best for last! This B&B was in a great location. It was within walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants and pubs. The B&B was clean and our room was incredibly spacious. Our room also had a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Edel Kenny and her daughter were so friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was also great! We truly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have spent another night.

Had a great stay at Craglea. Massive room with a chandelier and a view of the sea and a wide screen tv to watch the olympics.

Nice addition of fresh baked scones each morning as well as fruit and a selection of cheeses. The tea and coffee and biscuits in the common room means that you can meet fellow guests yet the place is big enough so it doesn't feel like you are imposing in someone's home.

Good coffee too.

The place is quiet and the breakfast room is big and airy and Edel and her accomplished helpers go out of their way to help.

Had a great night in Kenny's pub with some great live music after an evening surf and dinner in the local Indian.

Being a seasoned traveller.. Back packer etc was absolutely horrified how I was treated in this b&b. The landlady waited up for me. Told me to get in or else she was locking d door. She was less than welcoming on arrival. Overall verdict.. We are not on trial. Would never ever stay here again. From a well travelled primary school teacher
