“Fantastic - peace on earth!”
Reviewed July 7, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed for a week at Goilin Cottage and it was exactly what we were looking for as our holiday home. The rooms were all spotlessly clean and the kitchen was as well equipped as my own! There were only two of us but we found having the spare bedroom very useful for storage of all the holiday paraphernalia. It also has an open fire which we used on one of the chilly evenings. Best of all, was the wonderful location - down a very quiet country lane with the beach at the end (3 minute walk away at the most). It was a drive of less than ten minutes into Lahinch where there are lots of restaurants. In particular, O'Looneys (Waves) has good food and wonderful views of the surfers on the fantastic strand. There is so much to do - highlights for us were the cliff walk from Liscannor to the Visitor Centre at the Cliffs of Moher, a boat trip from Doolin to Inish Oirr (this included a trip right under the cliffs - brilliant views) and of course wandering in the Burren. I would highly recommend this cottage as a base for two people to view this part of Co Clare. Senan and Emily are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.

“Cozy Cottage”
Reviewed May 7, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had a nice stay at the cottage - very cozy! It's located in a rural area, outside the town of Lahinch, approx. 4-5 km. So a car will be needed! Senan and Emily, the owners, are very nice. You find everything you need in the cottage. It's just a 5 min. walk down to a very nice beach. If you're looking for a quiet place - this is it!

“Small and cozy Cottage outside of Lahinch”
Reviewed April 24, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The Cottage is small but has everything you need. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything like oven, toaster and water boiler. The couch and fire place build a cozy atmosphere. The cottage is outside of Lahinch, about 5km away from shopping facilities. There is a beach just a few steps behind the cottage and a place for your car in front of the cottage.
Senan and his wife were always gainable if there were any problems with the heater or something else. There was also some cake to welcome us on our arrival.
The bathroom is a little bit small but enough if you only need a place to stay for your holidays while you explore the surroundings.

To sum up: the Goilin Cottage is a good place to stay for two people who want to explore Co. Clare and don't want to be in the center of other touristik places.

A huge thank you to Emily and Senan for the hospitality.
We brought our two girls (both under 3) to the absolutely immaculate little cottage and we all had a really lovely stay. The appliances, cooker, microwave, kettle, everything was new / spotless. We enjoyed the lovely strolls down the lane to the strand and only a short drive (3 mins) to the town.

Safe, clean, warm and dry and great value.
Definitely going to go back.

“Cosy cottage in perfect location for peaceful retreat with friendly helpful hosts.”
Reviewed September 12, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We just arrived home from a one week stay in Goilin Cottage - Sept 2014. We would like to thank Senan and Emily for such a warm welcome and the thoughtful gesture of tea and scones on our arrival. The cottage is really cosy and immaculately clean and completely equipped to cater for all our needs. The cottage is in perfect location between Lahinch and Miltown Malba where you will find all you bars and restaurants, we would recommend Supervalu in Miltown Malba for groceries which is quiet big with friendly staff. There is a lovely little beach to the back of the cottage just a few minutes walk which is completely secluded. Although the cottage is central to the nearby towns it is also in a lovely secluded area surrounded by fields and farm animals. If the weather is sunny it's one of the most relaxing and peaceful places to sit on the bench which has sun all day. During our stay we enjoyed most the time in the cottage, the walks on the beach at the back of the house in the mornings when the tide was out, the cliff walk at white strand, meeting the extremely friendly neighbours, our friendly chats with Senan, Emily and family. We really enjoyed our stay at Golin Cottage and we will be back

“A piece of heaven on the wild Atlantic Way”
Reviewed September 2, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Looking for that special place in Co Clare? Well this location has it all. A beautiful cottage very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. A great welcome when you arrive from Emily and Senan who live nearby and always there to help with any queries you may have. At the back of the house a country road leads to a lovely beach part of the ' The Wild Atlantic Way'. Traditional music is not hard to find with the birthplace of the great piper Willie Clancy of Miltown Malbay a few kilometres away. It's also a great surfing area with classes available in the nearby Launch. This cottage is the perfect retreat to relax, read, cycle, or just enjoy the beautiful Co. Clare.

Reviewed August 16, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Thank you Emily and Senan for your warm welcome with tea and scones! The small cottage is exactly like the pictures, tasteful, comfortable and clean. It is an ideal location to recreate and for trips throughout this lovely area. Our hosts were very friendly, fulfilled every wish and answered every question we had and gave us good advices for places to visit. We would highly recommend this cottage to other couples.

Hi Heike & Harry. Thank you for your kind review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify the electricity in the bathroom. I assume you mean a socket. I am afraid it is part of the Irish building regulations that electrical sockets are not allowed in bathrooms for health & safety reasons. Hope you got back to Germany safe and well! All the best for now. Emily & Senan
