My family and I have stayed here on several occassions, on this particular vacation I can honestly say the the food at breakfast has really improved, as has the bar and restaurant food. The staff are very attentive and the rooms very clean however... I would like to see the rooms given a complete overhall I.e curtains, paint and flooring we were staying in the old wing (much to our disappointment) but this is probably as much my own fault as i did not make it clear we would like a room with a view. The childrens entertainment in Plant Active is a great bonus and the staff are really engaging and again I can say our children really enjoyed themselves. Now with regards to the swimming/baby pool which i feel is one of the selling points of any hotel, first of all the ladies changing area has tiles cracked and missing at foot level which is of a serious health hassard, in particular for small children who are always "busy investigating " This is very worrying and i hope management will sort this sooner rather than later... the baby pool surround also needs addressing as again maintence is a major issue.
For some reason there were what I can descibe as either a few chipped tiles or stones in the actual baby pool, I actually managed to cut my toe.. although nothing serious and i'm not bothered, I would have been angrey had it been one of the children. All that said, I would go back provided all of the above was dealt with. I just feel the hotel has a lot to offer the family on hoilday, in an ideal location and just these few minor things are letting this establishment down.

Room Tip: avoid old wing if u like a stunning view

I stayed here a few times and it is a very good spot to stay. The rooms are a little on the dated side and the corridor to the rooms isnt very well lit. But the room had everything you would want and need.
The bar is always very lively and the food is fantastic in the bar. The service can be a little slow but the food is worth it. They usually have a big crowd in having food but they can be understaffed.
The leisure centre is also very good and fully equipped with all machines.

In summary the big positive is the food and both the breakfast and dinner were fantastic.
Negative: The room is a little dated.

Room Tip: Views are spectacular at the back of the hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel three times over the last two years and always enjoyed it. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are colourful, clean and bright, of a good size and have very comfortable beds. It's well worth paying the extra 10 euro's a night for a seaview, the sunset over the water is breathtaking.

The food was excellent, both in the bar and the restaurant. Room service meals were also of a high standard and the food was hot. Breakfast is served as a buffet and even with the large amount of food prepared, it is of a good standard.

The swimming pool is a good size and wasn't too busy, the water is perfectly heated and clean. There is a smaller pool for younger children, at a right angle to the main pool. There is also a jacuzzi and a steam room beside the main pool. Towels are provided at the pool for guests and fabric caps can be purchased for a small fee of 2.5 euro.

The childrens play area in the lower ground floor is excellent for young families, older kids can play pool or air-hockey.

The hotel has a good range of special offers and as such it is definitely well worth the money.

Having grown up in the area, I have been here several (dozen) times over the years, both for meals and functions.
At all times I have always found the staff to be friendly, and the food to be very good.
The Function rooms are spacious, and nicely laid out - again with good staff and good food.

Great family friendly hotel - stayed in June 2012 as part of the Newsletter Short break offer - initially had booked for two nights, but impressed so stayed an extra night.

The childrens play area was a great bonus - our two year old toddler had the place to herself most nights, and the staff were good.

Overall a super break.
