Stayed here for one night on june 28th on a grabone deal.. were given a fabulous suite overlooking the golf course. Room was lovely.. hotel was very quiet.. we had a meal in the lime tree restaurant and it was great. .the hotel is not in blessington town but a little further out.. car is essential.. russburrough house is close enough if you wanted to visit..

we stayed here for a friends wedding in june 2013
the drive to the hotel was amazing - fabulous scenery
the staff were amazing, pleasent helpful and all seemed to enjoy their job

the bar was spacious and the bar food looked fab (we ate at the wedding )

the weddings are held in a different building so that if you were staying there you will not be disturbed by all the wedding guests
food was amazing at the reception

there was another bar there and an open courtyard for smokers

rooms were spotless, huge and comfortable (walk in shower )
breakfast was only yummy]#

some guests had a spa treatment the next day which they loved.
playground and games room for kids- not sure if it had a pool - we never found it anyway

we look forward to staying again

Just returned back from a 2 night break in Tulfarris. Must say the setting is beautiful and perfect for anyone travelling with small children. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. If you happen to play golf obvious bonus but for even those who are not into golf, this hotel is the ideal base to tour the wicklow area. Our package was 2 nights B&B with an evening meal and the meal in the main restaurant was fantastic as was the food in the bar the following evening. Overall fantastic, I would definitely intend on returning again and recommending it to others also. Keep up the good work, the staff are a credit to the hotel. 1 facility which I think would make this 10/10 would be a swimming pool, but hey theres a great big lake just below the hotel if really despearate for a swim lol.

What a wonderful discovery. Whether in the hotel or out on the golf course, Tulfarris is terrific. I've played around 80 courses in Ireland and this one ranks with the best, especially the back nine. The manor house pre-dates Blessington Lake by around 200 years so the beauty of the site was obviously recognised long before the electricity board flooded the valley. The view down the outstanding 18th hole from the Lime Tree Restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is the perfect accompaniment to the superb food. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. The overall impression is of a very welcoming haven, the perfect place to relax.

Hello TimW24

Thank you for your lovely review and I wholehearrtedly agree (unbiasedly) with your views on the course. It is one of my favourites too and especially the finishing 3 holes... I only wish my scores were better.
Hopefully we will see you back again soon.

We had a family get-together of nine adults and stayed Saturday night, 20th of April last. We made the most of Saturday & Sunday afternoon just sitting around chatting and availing of the bar facilities & snack menu. We had dinner together in the restaurant. We then returned to the lounge; continued our chat & danced the night away to the "one-man-band". Sounds a bit bland & unexciting. Wrong; it was a most enjoyable, relaxing w/e; in beautiful surroundings & comfort. It was also great value & the service was excellent.

The location makes the initial impact. Tucked away ; less than a mile; in off the Blessington to Baltinglass road, at Blessington lakes. Look out for the brown, tourist information signposts. Picture postcard rolling landscape, to immediately refresh the mind and melt away your worries. The golf course unfolds as you drive up the avenue & the facilities become apparent. Plenty of parking convenient to reception.

The reception area is bright; spacious & welcoming. Aisling & Derek could not have been more helpful with the registration process. They briefed us on the facilities available & monitored our w/e stay to check that all was satisfactory. You could not miss them keeping an overall eye and helping out where necessary. We found all staff members ; both in the lounge and restaurant to be very helpful. The standard of food & service was excellent.

The breath-taking view from the restaurant is unique. Looking across the 18th green;& the wider golf course surrounded by the Blessington Lakes. A little bit of Heaven. Our bedroom met all our expectation & more. It was beautifully furnished, with bathroom. We had a very comfortable bed; flat screen t.v, & most importantly hygiene standards were excellent.

It was a most relaxed w/e, in very comfortable surroundings. I always think hotels are just buildings, until they are staffed by individuals, who are motivated & focused on meeting to the needs of their guests. That is the key factor; everything else follows on from that. Many thanks to Aisling; Derek ; & all the staff at the Tulfarris Hotel; for looking after us so well that w/e. A most enjoyable stay. I look forward to a return visit at some future date.

Room Tip: Try to get a room looking out on the 18th green.

We stayed in Tulfarris and played golf In June. There was eight of us and we all agreed we got the best value for our money ever to be honest. The food was top class the staff were excellent and the hotel it's self really nice. The only little thing I could possibly say is the single beds are a bit narrow for eight burly men. Great stay though and will definitely return. Top class keep up the good work.

Had a recent two night stay in this very welcoming hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in a very spacious suite on the ground floor. The food was very good in the bar and breakfast was excellent. Staff at reception desk and in the dining room and bar were all very friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel. There are lovely walks around the golf course and the Blessington Lakes. Only 50 mins from central Dublin.
