We attended wedding here in August 2011 and really enjoyed our stay! The check in was quick and easy and we were kindly upgraded to a suite, which was huge and lovely.
We had a quick sandwich in the bar before going down to the old house for the drinks reception and service in the bar was friendly and quick.
The drinks reception took place in the old house and the bar down there which was nice as enough space and seating for the whole wedding party was catered for.
The service in the Ballroom was great, the food was fantastic and we really enjoyed the evening.
Breakfast was good, too and check out was efficient and easy.
We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Tulfarris for a 2 night break which we got on special offer including dinner - for €109 -- great value --- the hotel is situated in a quiet location surrounded by a golf course =so if your into golf go their -- the standard of service was exceptional. The food was real good -- just thought the main courses could be filled out a bit -- starters and desert were beautiful. As it is an ideal base for seeing Wicklow we hope to go back as one of us was suffering from flu while their so didn't get to enjoy the area as much as we hoped. Thanks to all in Tulfarris and we will be looking out for next email of special offers ...

Room Tip: Room 124 -- just beware that the games room is on same floor so kids do travel it a bit at night

My girlfriend and I stayed for one night B&B plus dinner at Tulfarris house in December 2010 for a treat - we had a lovely stay. The staff were excellent - this is a well run hotel - and it was lovely at Christmas - really atmospheric, especially in the snowy Wicklow hills. The room we were given was fine, modern and luxurious, except that it had a connecting door to a room beside it, which happened to be occupied by a family with young kids. We could hear them having a great time and watching cartoons on TV, almost as if they were in the room with us! I explained the situation to the front desk, describing how we were looking for a quiet, romantic break. They couldn't have been more obliging and moved us to a room in the actual Tulfarris House, just a short stroll from the main hotel building. What a house and what a room! A beautiful building, it felt like we had a country mansion all to ourselves, with sitting rooms just for us and only a handful of other guests. The room itself was huge, with a chandelier and amazing bed. Brilliant. Dinner was included in our deal and was ok - the restaurant is good but not great for evening meals. Lots of Christmas parties too, given the time of year. And the restaurant room itself, with its big floor to ceiling windows out onto the golfcourse and tall ceiling, was far from cosy in mid-Winter. That said, the same dining room is absolutely lovely for breakfast - bright, airy and sunny, with spectacular views of the hills. All in all it was a lovely, romantic short stay, great staff and if you can at all, try and get a room in the actual Tulfarris House - amazing.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in Tulfarris House - although it may cost extra at time of booking.

Good Afternoon Nick

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. I am glad that we could accommodate a room for you in the old Manor house. It really is a treat. Hopefully we can do it again next time. I'm sure the snow during the winter really added to the break away as it truly is amazing up here when it snows.

Hopefully we will see you again soon.
Kind Regards
Mark

myself and my hubby got married on the 9th July 2011 and we had our reception in Tulfarris. From the day we booked our wedding to our big day the staff were amazing. We stayed in the hotel 3 times before the wedding and all 3 times our room was spotless clean and the food was great and again the staff made the stay. On our wedding day we were treated like royalty, everything was perfect and i have yet to hear anything other from our guests. My nana who is 91 was extremely well looked after the staff moved her chair when needed and the kitchen made up a special meal for her no problems. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for wedding or just a stay. Thank you to all the staff xx

Myself and my fiance stayed in Tulfarris for two nights. From the minute we stepped in the door we received a very warm welcome. Aishlin at reception was very helpful, she couldnt have done enough for us. She gave us the history of the hotel (which was very interesting) and went through all the activities that were on offer within the hotel and also the surronding area's. We had a meal in the limetree on the second night - food was first class and Alan in the restaurant again was on hand to carter to our every need. I cant say enough good things about Tulfarris, we will be back again hopefuly before the end of the year.. Thks again for making our stay such a lovely, relaxing experience. Sinead & Ed

Absolutely beautiful surroundings. Makes you want to pick up the game of golf. Rooms are very large and comfortable, bathroom equally large and clean. No noise from neighbours. Breakfast was standard buffet, but had an amazing view over the golf course. The service at the bar could probably be quicker but we were there for a wedding and it was all very busy. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Myself and two friends stayed here this week, and it is a beautiful hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a golf course. But the setting is fantastic, the hotel is very luxurious, we stayed in a suite in the Manor house which was just delightful. We had both breakfast and dinner there and food is second to none. My only crib about this hotel would be the reception staff, they dont like to answer the phone either before you arrive at the hotel or while you're there, and it takes them a while to fulfull any requests but apart from that excellent place. The staff in the resturant and helpful, organised and efficient. One bit of advice, make sure you bring the hotel's number with you when you are going there so when you get lost you can ring for directions!
