Four years had passed since we first stay with Bridie and Paddy but on our arrival Bridie greeted us like best friends that she had not seen for years. You will surely see the true Irish Spirit if you choose Monavalla for your stay. Great room, great food, great views of the lake, but most important GREAT people. If ever again in Ireland this will be a must place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose front facing room with lake view

Just returned from a three night stay whilst visiting family in Blessington. Superb location,Bridie and Paddy were really friendly and catered for all our needs including an active toddler, who really enjoyed the full breakfast. A real home from home.Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the gardens and due to excellent weather we were able to sit out till late admiring the views.
We hope to return again on our next visit. Wish we had found this B and B before as it really was first class

We have just got back from a weekend stay at this B&B.
We had looked at the reviews and just expected a clean nice place, well everything you read is true. Bridie and Paddy are just the kindest people you could ever wish to meet, in fact it was hard to leave such a beautiful located place, every time you look out of any window the scenery changes ! it really is a piece of heaven.
In short it may be a B&B but offers service that only a first class hotel would provide.

We will be back again

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

Now, Bridie and Paddy are a whole other level of hosts. They are a lovely couple that will do anything to make you feel at home in their beautiful house. Everything, to the smallest detail has been taken care of and there is no one speck of dust at sight. Conversation is a delight with Bridie, and Paddy just gets so interested in you that you will be more than pleased to have a chat with him about anything.
Breakfast time is amazing, with an impeccable table setting and food cooked just to perfection.
I will definitely come back to Ireland just to stay at their place again.

We stayed at Monavalla while at a wedding in nearby Tulfarris House. Really lovely and comfortable, Bridie and Paddy were gracious hosts, brought us to the wedding reception too. Breakfast was fantastic, although i was the worse for wear after the party, it was a treat, and the dining room has a beautiful view over the lake, and Bridie has great taste in tableware. Can't fault the place!

Unfortunately, we only spent a few nights at Monavalla, but we were treated like members of the family. Bridie and Paddy could not have done more for us. Very clean with comfortable beds, breakfast to die for and the views were just stunning. Would love to go again sometime.

Room Tip: We had rooms to the front facing the view, although rooms to the back face beautifully landscaped ga...
