“Hospitality must have been born here!!”

Catherine starts your stay off with awesome hospitality and it never stops. Enjoyed every minute of our time at Kilbrogan House. Our luggage was carried up three flights of stairs by Catherine in her attempt "to stay fit" !! Catherine accomodated our every want & need. This included driving us to dinner and arranging a ride back from dinner with Michael a frequent visitor of Kilbrogan House .I had an accident with my rental car and was allowed computer use & phone calls to the rental car company without additional cost.. The tea & breakfast service /atmosphere of friendliness including conversations with Catherine and her brother - delightful. An overall great stay will happen here!!

Room Tip: Go for main level or as close to it as possible - stairs are "a trip"

I cannot say enough good things about Kilbrogan House. I am only sorry that we were not staying there longer! Catherine is a wonderful hostess and after showing us to our room, had tea, coffee and homemade biscuits served to us in the conservatory. Tea was of the leaved variety and coffee in a cafietere. Excellent start! It is a truly beautiful house and Catherine has done wonderful things to it without changing its character. We were at a party that night and arrived back after 1.30am. The bed was so comfortable and we slept so soundly that we awoke at 9.45am, much to our embarrassment. Breakfast was finishing at 10 and we stumbled downstairs all hot and flustered. Catherine waved away our apologies and provided the freshest, truly delicious cooked breakfast I have eaten in a long time. Our stay cost €80 which we considered very good value, taking into account the luxury accomodation, great beds and the wonderful welcome. We will definitely be back in the near future. I will be recommending Kilbrogan House to anyone visiting West Cork.

Room Tip: Only four rooms and all beautiful!

Catherine was so welcoming from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Great comfortable rooms, clean, everything you expect to find in a good hotel plus iron and ironing board if needed and all in this lovely B&B. Excellent breakfast and tea or coffee and home made biscuits appeared whilst we relaxed in the lovely guest lounge. Will definitely stay here again if in the area and would highly recommend it.

Stayed in Kilbrogan House again in April 2012. The house and gardens are wonderful, as is the warm welcome from Catherine. The bedroom was large, elegant and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a trout, caught in the river, served as a special order!

We got back from a trip to Ireland a few days ago and our stay at Kilbrogan House was a highlight for sure. Its a beatuiful Georgian home with great rooms, bathrooms, solarium and garden. Catherine and David were wonderful hosts and we were able to get around so easily to Blarney Castle, Cobh, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry while staying in a lovely village with its own attractions (pub with coal fireplace right next door, great Italian restaurant in walking distance). Just a great, friendly experience. Highly recommend.

Four of us stayed at Kilbrogan for St Patricks weekend. The rooms were impressive, very warm, comfortable beds, lovely antique furniture, built in wardrobe, own ensuite bathroom with powershower and there is tea making facilities in each room. We enjoyed a grilled breakfast each morning and were able to gain wifi access in the large sitting room. Catherine and David were very welcoming and friendly. Catherine was very efficient from first contact. I would highly recommend this B+B to anyone! Great value for money.
