Lovely beach great view and quite hidden. Might be hard to get down there if you have young kids but it's well worth visiting

I'm a podiatrist and thought we'd drive to ballybunion just to get a picture of the city sign. We found it and locals stopped to help us take a picture and told us about Nun's Beach.
Amazing views. Beautiful walking trail along the edge of some of the most breathtaking shoreline cliffs we saw. When we return to Ireland...we will be staying in this beautiful town.

On a bright August afternoon, the beach was utterly smooth and untouched by human interaction. Otherworldly.

I have never walked on the nun's beach as one needs to be very daring and fit to clamber down there. It is surrounded by cliff and can be viewed from the paths overhead It is gorgeous. Once the nuns in the old convent above it went to bathe here. They had a wood and rope gangway erected so they could descend back then.

Stunning beach with fantastic views. A great place to walk or bring the kids for a day out. Very close the town. It was a miserable day when we visited but it was still stunning. I could just imagine what it would be like on a glorious day.
