My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tides over the June bank holiday weekend. It is a fabulous place to stay- great room with huge en suite and impeccably clean. The service was brilliant, David is a great host and takes real pride in his business. The breakfast was lovely and the service overall was amazing. It has a lovely family feel to it and we will definitely be going back. Cannot say enough good things about it!

My husband and I stayed at the Tides in May in what was our umpteenth golfing visit to Ireland. Having stayed at what turned out to be a very disappointing self-catering cottage near Ennis the week before, we weren't sure what to expect for our 4-day stay in Ballybunion - but we need not have worried. The Tides and hosts David and Doreen were everything we could have hoped for - and more. Every comfort was provided, and every need catered for. Our mini suite was amazing - spacious and extremely comfortable, with its en-suite bathroom complete with super power shower, bath and super-fluffy towels. We were even able to watch USPGA golf in the evenings, an unexpected bonus! Our hosts could not have been more helpful, Dave regaling us with his amusing golfing tales and advice. And breakfast was to die for! We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Tides to anyone planning a trip to the SW of Ireland - we don't think you could find anywhere better if you're looking for comfort, consideration and assistance, backed up with good locally sourced food. We wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were to visit this part of Ireland again. Polly and Alan.

Room Tip: Room 2, the mini-suite, is a must if you like space, a lovely view, and the bonus of a comfy sofa as...

These are huge rooms, and extremely well-appointed. Dave was a great host, with fun tales of golfing in Ballybunion and Bill Clinton's visit to the town. There was a nice living room area our group could meet in the evenings. And wonderful crepes for breakfast!

This was a very nice place that I stayed before playing Ballybunion the next day. Everything was in working order, I teed off too early to have breakfast. Would have given it 5 stars, but the security alarm went off at 11PM and 7AM. A bit annoying, but guess its better to have an alarm than not have one.

Beautiful bed and breakfast with luxurious rooms. Breakfast was served to us early as we had an 80 mile cycle ahead of us to reach our next destination. Hosts were able to recommend great place for dinner that night. Would love to have more time to explore the area.

Can't thank Dave and his Family for a better week in a beautiful location. We were provided with a quality breakfast as well as a warm welcome each morning to get us on our way. Dave joining us for a round of golf would've been the cherry on top. Maybe next time as I can't wait to get back.

Four of us stayed at Tides for 3 nights in April. Golfing and Guinness trip. I recommend anybody to stay here - the quality of the rooms , beds, linen and towels were as good as most ( more expensive ) hotels I've stayed at in recent years. David is an excellent host. He's very informative and can't do enough for you. Oh, and the breakfast is excellent , especially the home made soda bread. Will stay here again.
