This was an amazing surprise...what a gem! We stayed only one night, but wish we had booked more. The food in the pub was amazing (steak perfectly chosen and cooked, salads to die for, salmon cooked perfectly). Music every night was a perfect Irish welcome. The service was friendly and helpful. And the view---absolutely priceless. The pub looks over the Ballybunnion ruins, beach walkways, and the shoreline cliffs. Absolutely stunning!
We stayed in rooms that were clean, comfortable, and again...oh, the view!!! I highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to have been recommended McMunn's as a must visit on my last trip to Ireland. Wow was he right! I would use this venue to complain if there was something to complain about. My stay there was absolutely perfect. Nice rooms, comfortable pillows, very clean with quaint Irish charm. If the rooms are nice, the food is amazing! You must have the four cheese pizza at some point as well as the seafood chowder prior to ordering the duck as your entree. I guarantee you have never had seafood chowder like this before. Don't let me forget the music, each night its something diferent but we really enjoyed Mick and the boys playing traditional Irish music. All this and your bed is right upstairs as you leave the pub with a smile on your face after having one too many pints of Guinness. HIGHLY RECOMMEND McMunn's!!!!

Last year my caddy at the Ballybunion golf course recommended McMunn’s to me, saying it was the nicest restaurant in town and served up some of the best food. I’m really glad he did, because I fell in love with the place. It holds a certain Irish charm that’s simply hard to find anymore, even in Ireland. This year, I had the opportunity of staying as a guest of the Inn, and I was even more thrilled with my time there. The rooms aren’t enormous by any means, but they are clean, extremely comfortable, reasonably priced, and have all of the necessary amenities. A full homemade Irish breakfast each morning also sweetens the deal! I visit Ireland once or twice a year to play golf and I have been pretty much everywhere. What I have found is that there is no town more charming and quaint than Ballybunion, and no restaurant better than McMunn’s. I’ve never thought of the cuisine in Ireland to be anything special, but McMunn’s is simply out-of-this-world good. I met with the head chef, Greg, who touted that everything was homemade and fresh as can be. The greatest aspect, however, is the atmosphere and service. It’s exactly what you’d expect an Irish pub/restaurant to look, smell, and feel like; fully adorned in rich wooden tables and trim, a turf fire burning, candlelight everywhere, and a live traditional Irish music band at night. Some of the local customers even join in and sing songs, it’s absolutely enchanting! The service was phenomenal, they always went the extra-mile for my friends and I to make sure every aspect of our stay and meals were perfect. My pint never had a chance to go empty before they were offering me another one! I’ll definitely be back next year!

Beautiful little resturant, pub and hotel located right at the Ballybunion castle. Rooms are small and tired but clean. Staff is verry attentive and friendly. Resturant is 5 star. Views of the sunset (when the cloud cover cooperates) is spectacular. Have a camera! The pub is small and intimate and the traditional Irish entertainment is excellent. Golfer hang out for the music and food. None better in Ballybunion.

I've been a repeat customer of McMunn's for several years, both as a guest of the boutique hotel as well as the superb restaurant. It is in the perfect location - middle of town, across from the beach & seaweed baths, and right down the road from the golf course. The cozy accomodations are the perfect place to sleep off a grand meal while listening to the live irish tenors downstairs. Una and her husband Greg and the perfect hosts - not a better place in Kerry!

When you travel to Ireland, enjoy the people, the ever present sea, the world class golf, and of course McMunn's of Ballybunion. A place to stay, eat, drink at the pub, and enjoy the hospitality of the Irish. A very classy place.
