Ballybunion has had great season, according to the traders we spoke to. So what brings them back, well for a start a great place for the kids with life guards constantly on the beat. Try Collins seaweed baths for the therapy, a pint and a steak at the Harty Costello's, walk to the Cashen to recover and when you need some "heritage info" visit the Carrigafoyle Tower Castle at the estuary entrance. The latter is a must for any interested visitor, the keep was one of a handful not in Norman hands, the Fitzgeralds of Desmond were the masters here. A wonderful restoration by the OPW and free during the Summer months.
