“ONE OF THE BEST LINKS IN THE WORLD”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

Played with friends recently a number of times and have to rate it as one of the best links out there. Tough but fair, in excellent condition with every variety of shot tested. Its no wonder that its so busy during the season but, all of the the staff (office, golf shop, catering, caddies rangers) are so professional that it runs like a well oiled machine. This is a premium product with a premium price but worth every cent!

Every avid golfer should play here at least once. Take a caddy and they'll get you round no matter what your ability.

“No words can describe this course.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

On a weeks golf vacation with my husband and friends this was the next to last course we played. What a treat it was to step onto the first tee box knowing we were playing this historical course. The course was in excellent shape and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny day to play. After walking this course I didn't need a gym for two weeks. After 18 I asked for an ambulance and an oxygen tank. (kidding) The never ending views from every part of the course were spectacular. As a woman I found it quite difficult to get to many of the "fairways" but didn't care, I was playing Ballybunion. Also, the par 3's were very long for women.

“Wonderful golf course, one of the best I have ever played.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Fabulous experience for the serious golfer....

First 6 or 7 holes are nice, but the course explodes at that point with incredible dune lined fairways and incredibly interesting and difficult green complexes. The back nice is maybe the best nice holes I have ever played.

Condition of the course was excellent, greens were good, the rough is severe, bunkers are deep, greens are very severely sloped with false fronts and steep runoffs on the sides and back.....this is not the course for the inexperienced golfer.

Take a caddy if you play....it will greatly enrich the experience, and help you greatly with lines off the tv, distances and putting.

“Old Course is amazing!”

Our caddy Paul gave us all right reads on every shot. Really loved the fact that God created this, not earth movers. Wonderful environment, great people. Cashen course after lunch is a big mistake. Tough, tough , tough!!!! Must have a caddie and a cart. When the locals says it is hilly, multiply by 3. Cant wait to go back.
