The food was surprisingly good - the waitress suggested the fish & chips which were excellent. The fish had a nice crispy crunch on the outside and tender white fish piping hot on the inside. The chips were nice & crispy - which I prefer over the often under-cooked, soft style you see all throughout Ireland. So I loaded them with malt vinegar and salt & crushed them all! We also had a burger which came with some delicious relishes - excellent! The Ceasar salad was decent - nothing to write about.......... probably not the best choice on the menu.
We sat at a window-side table overlooking the 18th hole and the beach / sea in the distance. We watch hacker after hacker chop-up this beautiful finishing hole. We only saw 1 par made by a woman who split the fairway, hit her approach to about 10 feet and missed her birdie put. We saw many 8's and 9's being carded by fat old guys huffing & puffing up the 18th. We had many laughs at their expense.
It was a great lunch!!!!
