The food was surprisingly good - the waitress suggested the fish & chips which were excellent. The fish had a nice crispy crunch on the outside and tender white fish piping hot on the inside. The chips were nice & crispy - which I prefer over the often under-cooked, soft style you see all throughout Ireland. So I loaded them with malt vinegar and salt & crushed them all! We also had a burger which came with some delicious relishes - excellent! The Ceasar salad was decent - nothing to write about.......... probably not the best choice on the menu.

We sat at a window-side table overlooking the 18th hole and the beach / sea in the distance. We watch hacker after hacker chop-up this beautiful finishing hole. We only saw 1 par made by a woman who split the fairway, hit her approach to about 10 feet and missed her birdie put. We saw many 8's and 9's being carded by fat old guys huffing & puffing up the 18th. We had many laughs at their expense.

It was a great lunch!!!!

View is outstanding, but food average. Nice people and easy to grab a bite before tee time. For an open area it was fine. I suspect the members area is much nicer

Had Sunday lunch here recently and could not fault it. Each of our party of four had a different dish and all were highly complimentary about them. Staff are helpful and friendly and service quick and efficient. Prices reasonable and a stunning setting for a meal. If in the Ballybunion area do not miss it. Highly recommended.

Food much better than expected for a golf club. We had salmon, rack of lamb and beef. All good. People great. Bar good.

Visited Ballybunion recently as part of our third visit to Kerry and had to stop by the golf club. My husband and I had dinner at the restaurant and had a wonderful experience. We were made to feel welcomed by the wonderful staff, especially by a lady called Kerry who couldn't do enough and was really helpful at recommending other activities in the area. The food was beautiful, and the sights were breathtaking. We found the bill reasonable given the surroundings and quality of food and service. Would definitely recommend to friends and will be coming again.
