“Very spacious, clean holiday home in a quiet location overlooking the golf course.”
Reviewed July 20, 2015 for a stay in September 2014

The holiday home was fully equiped and the kids particularly enjoyed the tennis court.
It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and is only a short walk from the village and the Ballybunion golf clubhouse. We took day trips to Tralee/Dingle and took the ferry to County Clare from the nearby port in Tarbert.
Overall, I would highly receommend this holiday home, Ballybunion, it's golf courses, beaches and surfing !

“A lovely place for a break”
Reviewed September 4, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Myself, husband and 2 children (aged 2.5 and 13 months) stayed here for a wk at the end of August.
It's our second time staying at No. 6. We chose to return for a number of reasons:
The house is very spacious for all that is required for travelling with 2 smallies!! I previously stayed here a couple of years ago with 3 generations of us there for Easter. In particular, downstairs offers a very large space in the sitting room for all to spread-out. The kitchen is also spacious. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - a generous master (more than adequate to take the cot and still feel spacious), another double bedroom (smaller than the master) and a twin room which our older boy loved!!
The house is well-equipped with anything one would need. We had washer/ dryer/ dishwasher/ microwave/ etc which was great for us being that we were travelling with the children. There is a shower downstairs as well as a shower over the bath upstairs - we found the shower downstairs handy when we'd come back up from the beach.
It's very well-located. Each day, we walked to the park and/ or beach without needing to take out the car, so it's very convenient from that point of view. The town offers options for coffee shops/ lunch/ etc.
The weather did not cooperate with us on one of the days - but we took a day trip to Dingle to the aquarium there (which I would also recommend). Ballybunion is well-located for day trips to Tralee, Dingle,
The proprietor was flexible with our check-in/ check-out times - once we had told her in advance, she was happy to accommodate us.
We had a lovely break here and hope to return again in the future.

“Had a fantastic family holiday here-a leisurely break for us all!”
Reviewed August 17, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our accomodation for the week. The house was a good size and having brought a family of three generations, the added bonuses included three separate bedrooms and two toilets/shower rooms. The owners made us feel welcome and we would definitely stay here again.

“A very relaxing, quiet, comfortable holiday”
Reviewed September 12, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We spent a very enjoyable week in this property in May 2012. We were welcomed at the property by the owners, who showed us round, explained everything, made tea and generally made us feel at home. The property is modern, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It is very quick, easy and relaxing to settle in. It is in a small estate of similar semi detached properties which comprises the holiday village, located on the outskirts of Ballybunion on the coast road.
The village is within easy walking distance, with a new supermarket, one or two other shops, several restaurants and public houses, most of which serve food. The restaurants are busy at the weekend and booking would be advisable. The prestigious golf course is on the coast road opposite the property and a statue in the village commemorates Bill Clinton’s golfing visit there. There are several walks in the area, including spectacular views of the beaches, cliffs, Shannon estuary, sand dunes and ruined castle. The circuit around the outside of the golf course can only be done at low tide as it involves walking along the beach on the seaward side of the golf course.
Ballybunion is easily reached from Dublin via the motorway to Limerick then a good road along the south side of the Shannon estuary with some glorious views as a taster, and the odd tourist attraction such as the flying boat museum.
Ballybunion is a good base for visiting places in that part of the west of Ireland. Tralee (the County Museum is impressive), Killarney (the lakes, National Park and Muckross House are all worth a visit as well as the town), Dingle (a charming town) and its peninsula (more intimate than the Ring) and the Ring of Kerry itself are all within easy day trips away. More adventurous travellers could get to the south west tip of Ireland or north to the cliffs of Mohar via the ferry across the Shannon at Tarbert.
At the end of the week the owner returned promptly to ask about our stay, read the meter and settle the energy bill which is extra. We had a very enjoyable stay in Ballybunion (the weather was kind to us which no doubt helped enormously) and would like to return one day.
