Can not say enough about how wonderful this place is. Staff is amazing, especially Maureen at the front desk and Bryan at the bar. Exceptional people, affordable price, comfortable atmosphere. Free wifi and international call!!! Close to Bunratty Castle and Shannon Airport. If you are in Ireland this is a must stay location!

The hotel was brilliantly situated to explore the wonderful village of Bunratty. It was also well placed as a base for day trips to Limerick, Adare, Ennis and the Burren region. We arrived via Shannon Airport and the hotel was very easy to find. Once there, we were delighted with the standard of service in every aspect. The front of house staff were exceptional, both in terms of their friendly service and helpfulness. Our room was a triple ( there were three friends sharing ), and it was beautifully appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The room and the general feel of the hotel was boutique chic. The restaurant was wonderful and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: The ground floor is handy - no stairs!

Arrived vary late due to a flight change from Shannon to Dublin. Smooth check in and a good rest. Breakfast in the morning is in a bright, airy room in this family run hotel.

When in Ireland you have to have the full Irish breakfast and this arrived with fresh toast, but...no marmalade. Now this is a personal thing that has lasted decades but mention it to demonstrate the excellent 'moment of truth' Clair (?) mine host and the receptionist ask if everything was OK with brekky and when I enquired if marmalade was available she check all table and stocks then immediately informed my that she would nip out to the shops to get some (at 0730h). To my delight she returned while the toast was still warm with a small dish of , yes, marmalade.

Full marks for this and for a very comfortable good value stay in a lovely small town in the west of Ireland. Colleagues also enjoyed Durty Nellies for the evening meal - I was too late to take part in this,

The hotel is more like a pub with rooms above it. Very traditional and very quaint. The carpets throughout however are somewhat very tired.

The room is also a blast from the past. We booked a triple room. The red carpet and traditional wooden furniture and the crt tv all make the room dated to look like something from the 1990s. The bathroom was however done to a very high and modern
standard.

The front of house staff were very friendly, from checking in, to having breakfast to checking out. We had a very very light breakfast (a couple of pieces of toast and coffee), but the staff said that they would not charge us both for breakfast. This was a very nice touch and excellent customer service.

Regrettably, this excellent approach will not be enough for me to come back. The price for the room was too high and you did not get enough monies worth.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel at the end of April this year. The friendly service at reception, bar & restaurant was exceptional. Our room was extremely comfortable and large, as was the adjoining bathroom. Only a very short walk into the village. Would highly recommend this hote.l

We stayed here recently for 2 nights. The receptionist at front desk and waitress for breakfast the following morning was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful.Receptionist the second day was also friendly. We were waiting almost an hour for breakfast the 2nd morning. All dishes came at 10 minute intervals and it was horrible to taste. There are 4 of us. There was a tense atmosphere in the dining room at we weren't the only people waiting. They were fully booked for the weekend and again on the 2nd morning the receptionist was the only staff in the breakfast room.Seemed like she was cooking as well as serving, as the output from the kitchen was so slow.We had dinner the first night. Food ok but felt rushed. There is no lift in the hotel. The rooms definitely need painting and a bit of a refurbishment. Hairs on the floor of toilet............ Think this hotel does well because of its location.

Bunratty Manor is a fantastic little hotel, perfect for arrivals and departures from Shannon Airport as well as a nice place to base yourself from for that area when looking for affordable stays. Close to shopping, eating and hiway access to all roads in Ireland, it is easy to find, accommodating, great food and lovely staff.
