The welcome is genuine and the Castle at night is a magnificent sight. The food is out of this world and even though we eat in mediaeval style (with a dagger only) the meal is most enjoyable. Let it be said that the entertainment is first class. The musicians and singers put their heart and soul into entertaining their guests. I'd caution some elderly people to be aware that they need to climb long winding stairs and to descend them at a later stage. Also and most important, do not drink too much mead. It may slip down easily and taste sweet but boy, it packs a punch.
