My husband and I, along with another couple, just recently spent a night with Jack and Eileen at Avonmore House. Upon our arrival we were greeted by our host and made to feel immediately welcomed. The B&B is centrally located within a few minutes walk to the center of the charming harbor town. The accommodations at Avonmore House were excellent. The place is immaculate...one could eat off the floors! The rooms were very large with comfortable furnishings and the traditional Irish breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Eileen has done a wonderful job decorating. I especially enjoyed the breakfast room. Jack was very knowledgeable and after speaking with him, we altered our itinerary following his suggestions. We were not disappointed...and you will not be either if you choose to stay at Avonmore! Betty Monroe (New York, USA)

This was a most enjoyable stay, with a typically tasty breakfast to gear us up for the next lap of our lengthy tour of Ireland. I'm glad we decided to find a b&B in Youghal, and were very lucky in our choice! Thank you Eileen for making us so welcome.

large comfortable rooms, very clean, easy walk to restaurants just a few blocks from the clocktower. They had fresh soap bars instead of liquid soap, which was a nice change from other B&Bs, and good quality towels & washcloths.

This was my first experience with a B&B in Ireland. And it was a good one. On a cycling tour around Ireland I took a punt and pulled in here basically off the street after being disappointed by another caravan park. The owners treated me very well, giving me a good deal. Well located just on the edge of the town centre, so you don't feel you're sleeping right in the middle of the action, but you are close enough for a short walk to that action. All the facilities were clean, well maintained and in excellent condition. The room offered to me was just the right size for a single traveller. There was secure, undercover storage for my bicycle. And there was a good range of items on the breakfast menu. The scrambled eggs I had were delicious. Would definitely recommend, and stay again.

We recently visited Ireland and had the pleasure of staying one night at this excellent B & B. We stayed in a second floor front room which was spacious, clean and very comfortable with an up to date en-suite bathroom. Our hosts Jack and Eileen made us very welcome and were extremely helpful with internet access, recommendations for pubs/restaurants as well as local tourist spots to visit. The location was within walking distance to local pubs and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay at this B & B again! Excellent value for our money.

Kindest Regards,
Patricia & Bill Binks

The accomodation was wonderful with all our needs catered for. Our room had all the comforts that gave us a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The locality was very convenient for restaurants and pubs. Our hosts Jack and Eileen made us very welcome and we will plan to return on our next visit. The breakfast was outstanding and all in all we had a grand time and the value for money was just an additional benefit.
Kind Regards
Jerry & Margaret (Bristol)
