“Like coming home”
Reviewed September 20, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Back from our second stay this year. Pat & Colette excellent hosts. Cottage ideally located for a fisherman - lots of great fishing within easy reach. Fire in the grate and welcome pack when we arrived much appreciated. Everything we needed for a very relaxing week. Hopeful to be back again.

“When you need peace and quiet”

When you want to relax and take it easy then you cant beat this farmhouse. Set in a rural location but within easy reach of the major towns of Cavan. If it is fishing that interest you then you are within minutes of all the fishing that you will ever need.
Pat and Colette, whom live very close are exceptionally nice people, nothing was too much trouble for them, even offering to come and pick us up from town so that I could enjoy more Guinness. Every thing that you require for daily life is in the farm house. This is a good location for families with young children as there is plenty for them to do and explore.
My thanks again to Pat, Colette and family.

Liked best: the peace and quiet, yet within all locations to have a good break.
Liked least: Trouble with the WiFi but that is to be expected in this rural location, so no big issue really

Stayed for a fortnights fishing. Cottage ideally located - spoilt for choice everyday. The house is homely and has all the mod cons. Pat and Colette very friendly and helpful. The trout was lovely. Nice location for exploring the area, close to Cavan, Enniskillen, Carrick on Shannon. Enjoyed watching the cows saunter past!! Hope to be back soon.

pro's -Very clean, lots of space, comfy beds, fully stocked house, even had things you would not expect(food/treats/wood).Cows were great entertainment for my 5 year old. Very quit place, real time to relax and enjoy some peace.

con's-no bath tub (not great for 5 year old daughter loves her night bath routine.) I would book again in a heart beat if they could install a tub.

“wow...........amazing value for money in well equipped cosy but roomy cottage”
Reviewed August 20, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

What a gem! rural location on a dairy farm, the cows amble by twice a day for milking. Pat and Collette are next door and without being in any way intrusive make sure that you have everything you need. This includes coming out to find us when we got lost to providing apple pie, milk , eggs, spuds (home grown and tasty), strawberries, soda bread, tea, coffee, sugar, wash powder etc etc etc. Killeshandra is a short drive and the county Caven is extraordinarily beautiful. The garden has a bbq and seating and there is free lake fishing nearby in hundreds of locations. We took our dogs , a dalmatian and a lab cross and they had a ball! We just had to time the cows coming past as they know sheep but not cows. Five star facilities, home comforts, friendly welcome, lovely location, great value for money.......great

“Great place for the money!”
Reviewed August 15, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is a nice house away from it all, but a short driving distance to the Boyne Valley and other Historic sites. Pat and Collette are excellent hosts and even offered the use of their clothes dryer because of the rainy weather (I only managed to hang out 1 load and get it dry, but not so lucky with the 2nd). There was fresh bread, eggs, milk and juice waiting for us so we could make a cup of coffee or eat before we went out to buy the groceries we needed or discover the area. It was large enough so you could spread out but had a cozy little fireplace. Great place for the price!
