We have just stayed at Mikes Oyster bar. We have had three days with Mikes family and they have been great. We stayed in the bar by the open fire eating Mikes excellent home cooked food chatting to the locals(Cyril was great). We were given fantastic imformation onwhere to go for walks, shopping and golf courses. Bridies full breakfast was great and even though we got a cheap deal on Groupon we love this place. If you want good food and good Irish hospitality
give Keanes a go.

We may see you there as we will go back

We have stayed here on two occasions. The rooms are simple but comfortable, the position is delightful and the people are so friendly.
The dining room is always busy with locals and visitors alike, the food is well cooked and presented. we recommend this place if you want to meet reel irish folk

Michael and the family are lovely hosts. It is a family business, the group enjoyed the food and the fact that the pub was just outside the bedroom door so to speak. I bring a group to Ireland every year and we are planning to stay at Keane's in 2014.

This was my second time staying at Keane's. There were 10 of us this trip. We each had lovely units. Ours was actually a cottage well equipped inside, with a wonderful green grassy area outside for our three young girls. The family that runs the B&B are some of the nicest, hard-working people we have met, and that's saying a lot in Ireland! The breakfast was delicious, made to order, in a room with giant windows overlooking the countryside. One of the best aspects about this B&B is that there is a wonderful little pub with such genuine charm, a small store, and a restaurant all attached. It is so convenient! A gem not to be missed when travelling the Southwest of Ireland.

Stayed in Kane's 23 & 24 May. Had booked B&B but was given self catering unit which was clean bright & very spacious - and no extra charge. Really comfortable bed, loads of extra towels, plenty tea/coffee etc, nicely furnished and so quiet The owners Michael & Breege were so friendly & welcoming we felt like we were among old friends. Michael went to each table during breakfast to make sure everything was ok and was more than willing to offer tips and advice for where to go and what to see in Clare. The food was excellent in quality and portion size. First time we've stayed an Irish Hotel or B & B and were able to order freshly cooked Breakfast exactly as we like it. Dinner was also above average - haven't tasted lamb like that in a very long time and the steak was superb and again generous portion size and offers of more.
The bar is small and old fashioned but all the better for that - nice to see & smell the real turf fire and talk to the locals. Its the sort of place where you can escape from the cares of the world and really relax and absorb the tranquillity of the countryside. The scenery is breathtaking and there are so many lovely walks. So glad Michael advised us to visit Loop Head - amazing scenery and no surprise it won Irish Times best place to holiday in Ireland.

I could waste 10 minutes describing the average food, high prices, atrocious service and brutal wifi but why should I bother? Not to mention the doors to the toilets jammed open which left an interesting scent 10 metres from the restaurant. I could go on but instead we paid our bill and left, I've better things to do with my time. My review relates to the bar/restaurant only, we will never return
