What is wonderful about Kilkee dining is that there are several places now where you can eat and enjoy spectular views at the same time. Our party of five ate here one bright July evening. We had burgers, fish & chips and risotto to name a few. And the food was excellent. Big chunky chips were very tasty, I recall. This was informal gourmet dining at its best. But The portions were quite small, unusual in Ireland seaside places, where the walking and swimming normally produce ravenous appetites. My husband could certainly have eaten the double, but for the rest of us, it was enough. Of note was the revamped decor, really much nicer than the pictures on the website. We sat on a sofa and comfy chairs in a cosy windowed corner, and we settled in to hear the regular sing-song afterwards. A thoroughly enjoyable night out.
