Light house tour was great. The scenery in the drive to it was fantastic. Great little pub on the way, had some excellent salmon there. At the light house, standing on the cliffs overlooking the ocean was tremendous. Looking down you could see the dark green water boiling like it was angry as it hit against the cliffs. And up on top where we were at, off in the distance you could see cattle grazing peacefully on the hillside the gulls calling out as they flew past and there was a renewing gentle ocean breeze that gave you a sense of peace and safety as you starred out over the horizon of the ocean and tried to imagine what it must be like for people to set sail like our ancestors did a hundred years ago.

For a less frequented natural wonder, consider a trip out to the cliffs at "Loop Head" west of Kilbaha. There is an unmarked - but well worn trail that loops the lighthouse grounds. If you are with children, make sure you take their hand as there are no safety railings when visiting this incredible natural site. The cliffs and ocean are stunning. The lighthouse proper has been recently re- opened after many years of closure.

This was our second trip to Loop Head Lighthouse, last year it was raining but this year was great and we had a better trip, it could do with a small coffee shop, because of the good weather the views were great and as a bonus when we walked to Loop Head a pod of dolphins passed around the head below us.

The guides were friendly and helpfull and once inside the Lighthouse it was quite cool on one of the warmest days. The explanations of how it worked are all good and the views amazing.

I didnt use the loo's so i cannot comment on them....
